Mermaid Pillows Aren’t Just For Mermaids

I received the following product for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Hey friends! Sorry for briefly going MIA, but I’m back today to share a fun new product we are currently crushing on! Have you guys seen the popular sequin pillows floating around? They’ve been featured in places like the Today Show and in Parents magazine and are perfect for kids of all ages. Turns out, they’re actually made by Mermaid Pillow Co, and are known by their proper name – Mermaid Pillows. The company recently reached out asking if I would review one of their pillows, and after checking out their product, I knew that Adeline would absolutely love it! A cute, girly pillow that also happens to be her favorite color AND with fun changing sequins on one side? Yes please! Hello toddler entertainment!

This particular pillow, Valentine’s Day LOVE Pillow with Reversible Pink & Silver Sequins, retails for about $34 and is adorable. It’s actually a limited time edition, so if you’re looking for a fun last minute Valentine’s Day gift, you better hurry up! One side is made from a soft fabric, perfect for toddler snuggles, and the other side is packed with sequins that easily and magically morph from one color to the next.

Ya’ll, not gonna lie. This pillow is addicting! Adam and I have both spent way too much time mindlessly playing with the sequins and making fun designs. It’s actually kind of stress relieving! And Adeline thinks it’s just the coolest thing ever, and is entranced every time she slides her hands up and down it. I can see the wheels in her little mind spinning as she tries to figure out, “how it do?”

I originally planned to utilize this pillow as part of her “big girl” room we’re planning on transitioning her to this summer. But after spending so much time in the playroom lately, it ended up being the perfect missing accent piece for the couch – one of my favorite spots in the house!

I can see this pillow also being perfect for long car rides, or even just as a calming tool during quiet time or nap time. They also have lots of other fun designs, like a dinosaur and a super hero which would be so fun for a little boy!

I try my hardest to only review things on my blog that I truly enjoy or approve of, and this pillow is seriously so fun! I’m not sure who loves playing with the sequins more…Adeline or Adam!

Have you heard of Mermaid Pillows? Which design do you like? Would your kid have fun with something simple like this?

Our Hobby Lobby had a few pillows like this for Christmas and they occupied Liv for a good 10 minutes! She was in love!
