Happy Friday! Another week has flown by, and here we are entering another weekend. The weather this week in Texas has been fantastic, and I’m excited to spend some extra time outside today before the storms roll in tomorrow. I haven’t shared a loving lately in a couple weeks, so I wanted to round out this week with some random things I’m loving, as well as some recent shows I’m HERE FOR. (Isn’t that what the cool kids are saying now?)
My SIL told me about Texas Tulips and I can’t wait to check it out with A. I thought about taking B with us, but I figured it would be fun to have some alone time with my girl and let her go wild picking all the tulips her heart desires! Tulips are some of my favorite flowers and this place looks GORGEOUS!
The OA Season 2
Who watched The OA back in 2016? If you haven’t, and you like supernatural/creepy/mind boggling binges, then you’d probably enjoy it. Basically, this scientist dude kidnaps this blind girl, and takes her to his underground science experiment lair in the bottom of an old mine, where he’s been keeping other people he kidnapped and has been researching NDEs by drowning his subjects repeatedly. But then, the main character girl figures out how to escape to a different dimension. And it just gets weirder. I’m sure you’re dying to watch it now after that explanation, but season 2 came out TODAY on Netflix and I am PUMPED!
Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists
I’ll admit, I loved Pretty Little Liars! And I had no idea spin-off was even in the works, but I stumbled upon it on Hulu last night and had to watch the pilot episode. It’s got Alison and Mona from the original PLL, and everyone else seems to be new. Apparently they both work at a university now? I’m not sure how I feel about it yet because I feel like they’re still developing the characters and their story lines, but it’s not awful and I think I’m hooked!
The Florida Man Challenge
Google “Florida man + your birth day” and post the first major headline. It’s really hilarious, and had me rolling at a few of the ones I’d seen floating around social media. My results were, “Florida man narrowly escapes crash at Taco Bell.”
Target Cashmere Plum Candle
I received this candle for my birthday and I have to say, it might be a new favorite! It reminds me of my beloved Volcano candles, but way cheaper. It’s from Target, and worth a smell if you’re into candles!
The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann
Who else loves a good true crime docu? THIS GIRL. My mom actually introduced me to this one, and after resisting it at first due to the topic, I binged it and couldn’t get enough. It’s about a couple on vacation in Portugal, whose 3 year old daughter was kidnapped/killed/sold/WHO REALLY KNOWS and the documentary basically explores the entire case and the search throughout the years. It’s a great watch, and will also make you super paranoid.
Birkenstock Mayari Sandals
I own the Arizonas already, but my feet are kind of narrow and boney and I’ve always felt like they were a little big, so I’m excited to try the Mayaris. I think the thinner strap and the toe loop will also stay on better and be super comfortable. I ordered a pair in Mocha from Nordstrom for my birthday and am hoping they arrive this weekend!
Give.me.all.the.easter.candy. I devoured a bag of Robin Eggs the other day and remembered why holiday candy is always the best. Reese’s eggs, Cadbury eggs, oh man. I can’t resist! What’s your favorite Easter candy? Are you a Peeps person? Jelly Bellies?
What’s one thing you’re loving lately?
