We’re Moving!

Well, the cat’s out of the bag!

We’re moving!

Specifically, we’re headed south and relocating to Fort Worth, Texas, close to Adam’s side of the family. Adam has accepted a position with a company based out of Dallas, and we couldn’t be more excited for this new adventure! We’ve spent the past 2+ years thinking seriously about where we would eventually move to in order to give Adeline what we think is best, and we feel very certain that everything has fallen into place exactly as it should! It’s certainly not a decision we made lightly or quickly, but something we’ve prayed diligently about.

We’re ready to find our long-term home and give Adeline her dream backyard, and access to amazing schools. Moving closer to family was inevitable, and while we always swore TX wasn’t an option, God made His plans obvious and we are at peace with our new direction. Arkansas has been our home for the past 5 years, and we’ve worked really hard to grow our life here together. We love both our families more than anything in the world, and we feel blessed to have lived equally in the middle all this time. Lots of bittersweet emotions for sure, but I’m too busy packing and keeping the house clean to cry just yet! God is good, and change is a good thing.

I’ll be back next week to share more details, but in the meantime, if anyone is located in the DFW area, holla at ya girl!

Better yet, if anyone wants to buy our sweet little humble abode here in Little Rock, she’s officially on the market! SINGLE AND READY TO MINGLE!

Now you know why we’ve been decluttering! 😉

Moving advice? Bring it on!

How exciting!! We have contemplated moving to Dallas for the last year and a half and while it’s still on the table it’s not the right time at the moment. But when we visited I LOVED it! Dallas has so many cute areas to explore and the weather, oh how I love the heat!! What an exciting adventure!

Fun fun! We are in Texas seems like ALL the time. We will be at a Rangers game this weekend, and R and I are going down next weekend to Texas too 🙂 My parents live in the DFW area. There are some awesome places to eat and things to do. I hope you love it! That is exciting!

Congratulations! I hope that your house sells quickly and everything goes well with the move! Will you be able to continue your job there since you work remotely?

I moved to Dallas about 8 months ago and absolutely LOVE it. People roll their eyes when they hear “Texas” but my gosh, the DFW area is filled with incredible people who are so welcoming of newcomers, as it seems that many people have also recently moved to the area. The one complaint I have is about the drivers – they are absolutely crazy (plus traffic is bad) – but if you know to mentally prepare ahead of time I think that will help lol. Otherwise, the area is amazing.

This was so nice to read! That’s hilarious about the drivers – my husband and I joke about that all the time! They may be crazy, but they always use their turn signals! At least compared to the psychos in TN and AR who NEVER use their turn signals! Which area of Dallas do you live in?
