In typical Monday fashion, I’m recapping our weekend. And believe me when I say, we literally didn’t do anything! And it was GLORIOUS. I mean, we did do something. We watched way too many YouTube videos. Guilty as charged. But when you’re both exhausted from weeks of house prep and new-job-prep and toddler parenting, and you have a couple days where you have absolutely nothing to do, you lay on the couch together and watch hours of YouTube videos and not feel about it! I thought I’d share a quick recap, then share my favorite YouTube channels I often follow!
On Friday we learned that our house was under contract! I’ll share more details soon, but please send prayers and positive vibes that everything goes smoothly and nothing major pops up. I’m also hoping to have some more news to share regarding our move to TX, but I’ll wait until we know more.
Friday night we headed out for a family date night, then came home and had some friends over for a game night. And stayed up waaaay too late. Either we’re getting old, or it really was late. I have no pictures to show for it, so here’s a picture of Truckee napping on Elmo.
Saturday, other than laying around watching YouTube videos, I did actually hit up Target with Adeline and a girlfriend. So, I guess that counts as something exciting? I mean anytime you can make a successful Target run it’s exciting! Again, no pictures to show for the day because I’m not kidding – we didn’t do anything. So here’s a picture of Adeline’s version of lounging instead.
Sunday, we went to church, then came home and Adeline crashed for a couples hours. After she woke up, we played in the pool for a little bit, and before we knew it it was bed time. And she was extra cuddly (and had a really bad meltdown, which probably explained the cuddly-ness) but she was so sweet at bedtime, and kept saying “night night” as I laid her down and walked out of her room.
And I mentioned this on Instagram, but twice yesterday as I was rocking her, she looked up at me, made eye contact, and for a split second I saw her as a baby, baby. Like as my newborn Adeline, and it was the weirdest, but sweetest thing. God sure works in mysterious ways, but it was pretty neat having that quick flashback. What an awesome thought to think I’ll have those memories of her forever burned into my mind, and as her mother, no one else will ever know her like I do. Ah, cue the tears. Love you mom!
Ok, let’s talk YouTube!
So here are several channels I’ve followed for a few years, and a few that I’ll occasionally catch up on! Here’s my short list:
That should give you a start!
I’m hoping to pop back in more regularly this week – fingers crossed it’s not as crazy as weeks past!
What is 1 YouTube channel you love? What did you do this weekend?
