Valentine’s Day 2018

Valentine’s Day this year was extra special! Adam and I were able to go out on a delicious lunch date, and our big girl got to have her first Valentine’s Day classroom party at school, and Adam and I were more than happy to spend that sweet time with her. She gobbled up her cupcake (as evidenced by her mouth being stained by hot pink frosting and the cupcake still in her teeth!) and had fun eating treats and anxiously awaiting opening her valentines with her friends.

After her party, we came home and played with her Valentines and opened up her goodie bag from Mom and Dad. This year I kept it simple with things mostly from the dollar spot, like stickers, magic coloring book, new socks, and window clings. All things she was ecstatic about! We played outside for the rest of the afternoon, in between wrapping up work, and soaked up a gorgeous 70 degree day! I’m definitely not hating these warm spells, but am dreading the cold front coming through on Friday. Quit teasing us spring!

Adeline’s personality lately has been exploding, and she’s really testing her limits in all sorts of ways. But, I couldn’t love her more and am so going to miss this age one day!

Look at that sweet concentration face as she colors. She just melts me!

I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day with your most loved!

How did you celebrate? Did your little have a party? Did you wear pink or red today to be festive?
