I received the following products for free to help facilitate my post. All opinions are my own.
If you’ve been following along much recently, then you know this past month has been pure chaos. We listed our house for sale back in May, after spending less than a week getting it ready. Then, much to our surprise, it sold in 6 days. And 2 days later, we had an offer accepted on a house in Texas, without seeing it in person. So since then, we’ve been going back and forth with realtors, repair men, appraisers, and the big man upstairs in hopes that everything continues to go smoothly and we successfully close on both houses the last week of June. Aka, in like 3 weeks. Needless to say, we’ve been busy, and the last thing I’ve taken time to do is properly pamper myself.
However, I’m putting my foot down, literally, and treating myself to a pedicure today for our 5th wedding anniversary. And I’m freakin’ excited about it! I always forget how much I love a good pedi. I feel like it’s the ultimate “me time” and now that I’m a mom, it’s time that I need to recharge! I’m thinking I won’t hold back today – warm towel wraps, stones, aromatherapy. I just might treat myself to the deluxe package. I mean, I deserve it, right?
Even though I haven’t been pampering myself in extravagant ways lately, I have been trying to savor a few of my favorite things in the midst of craziness. Things like taking lavender salt baths, spending time sitting outside in the sun with a large Dr. Pepper, blogging on the back porch, and keeping a fresh bouquet of flowers in the kitchen all do wonders for my mood and stress levels. Taking a second to enjoy the little things helps me remember that the BIG things will all work out.
Ya’ll, buying and selling a house is ridiculously stressful. There’s just no way around it. Add in a toddler, and no family around to help, and you’ve got a recipe for some early mornings and late nights. And by some, I mean a lot. A lot of late nights! Lately, our favorite way to end a long day has been settling down on the couch together after A. goes to bed, putting on a new show (hello Netflix originals!), and splitting a pint of Halo Top. Or like the kids are saying these days, going halfsies.
We’ve been big fans of Halo Top ever since we discovered it at our local Kroger several months ago. Since then, we constantly have a pint, or two, in our freezer. It’s our not-so-guilty pleasure, especially considering the gym has been put on the back burner until we move. We’d heard a little hype around Halo Top before we found it, but I think it’s safe to say we jumped on that bandwagon pretty quick.
Halo Top is an all natural, high protein, light ice cream. It’s sweetened with organic Stevia, and Erythritol, instead of traditional sugar, which helps keep it on the healthier side.
There are 17 delicious flavors, although we are still making our way through the entire collection!
Our favorites include:
- Birthday Cake
- Mint Chip
- Oatmeal Cookie
- Sea Salt Caramel
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Their motto is, “Save the bowl, you’re going to want the whole pint.” And that couldn’t be more true! It really is so good, and low calorie, you just can’t feel bad eating it! We rarely use bowls unless we’re splitting it with our friends, but instead we each grab a spoon and dive into the pint itself. If we’re stingy, we can stretch a pint over the course of a few days, but I’d be lying if I said we didn’t finish them off in one night often! Halo Top is the perfect way to treat yourself during a stressful, or heck, ANY time!
Now, because I think no one should be deprived of the joy that is Halo Top ice cream, we’re giving away 2 pints to 2 lucky readers!
