The North Face Women’s Ultra Kilowatt Trainer Review

Happy Friday!

How has your week been?

Mine has flown by, and I’m excited to have a weekend at home! Spring time has officially arrived in Little Rock, and this weekend is looking fantastic. My husband and I are thinking about hiking Pinnacle Mountain tomorrow morning, and I’ve recently received the PERFECT shoe to wear on our excursion!

The North Face Women’s Ultra Kilowatt Trainer

A while back, if you recall, I worked as an ambassador for the Hot Chocolate 15/5k in Nashville, TN! Well, as a thank you and reward for promoting the race and having 128 registrants sign up through my promo code, the super kind folks at RAM Racing sent me these TNF shoes!

To say I was pumped is an understatement!

How cute are these??

The Ultra Kilowatt is the perfect light-weight training shoe, for road or the trails! It weighs in at just about 8 ounces.

The FlashDry mesh helps wick away moisture, prevent blisters, and makes them extra breathable.

There is a rubber toe cap for added protection. Something that makes me nervous about running off-road is stubbing my toe, so this is perfect!

They have a Vibram sole which offers plenty of grip.

The Pebax CRADLE technology helps keep your foot in the right position, as well as offer a flexible and springy ride. Most importantly though, it helps promote a biomechanically correct stride.

I’ve worn these around the house for a few days and around the yard and so far they are really comfortable! I am so excited to really test them out on Pinnacle this weekend, and I will be sure to tell you how they did!

I think these are going to be my go-to cross training shoe. They have a very minimalistic feel, and are perfect for a neutral runner like myself.

Have a great ACTIVE weekend!

What do you think? Love the teal? Do you have any trail/cross training shoes? Do you enjoy getting off the pavement?

Love those shoes. Can’t wait to see what you think of them – I just bought some TNF Hedgehogs which I was told were trail running shoes. They’re definitely just hikers! But your version (the Ultras or Guides) was my other choice, and I would consider buying them as well since they are actually running shoes.

Either way, around here you need some GTX action with all the mud we have going on.
