The Great Not-So-Big Thankful Post

You guys, it has been an incredible year around here. I can’t believe it’s already time for another Thanksgiving! In 2018, we continued to settle into our new home and life in Texas, we watched our daughter blossom into the most fun 3 year old around, and we welcomed our son, rounding out our family and bringing us joy in ways we didn’t think possible. Fun fact – this exact time last year, I was secretly hoping and hoping we were pregnant…and turns out I was right! We have a lot to be thankful for, and are so incredibly blessed. They say to count your blessings, and name them one by one, but I’m afraid if I named all of my blessings one by one, we’d be here all day. So, to summarize, I’m thankful for my health, my husband, my precious children, my family, my friends, and our jobs that help provide us the lifestyle we live. I’m thankful we live in a world where we can love each other endlessly, worship God freely, and watch our children grow up in a place where we feel safe.

I wanted to hop on and say Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you who continues to read this little blog of mine. I hope you are taking time this holiday weekend to spend with loved ones and make special memories. I’ve been pretty MIA on the blog here this week, mainly because I’m still just having a hard time balancing work life, mom life, AND finding time to blog. I’ve been absolutely exhausted, if we’re being honest. I’ll be taking the rest of the week off to enjoy this time of rest with my family though, and I’ll greet you all with holiday cheer next week! I’ll still be around on Instagram, so follow me there to see daily happenings and two super cute kiddos.

I’ve got some fun things lined up between now and Christmas, so stay tuned!

Is anyone out there planning on tackling some Black Friday shopping? I’ve already done a little online, and plan to do the rest of my shopping online on Friday as well. I usually venture out on Thursday night (yes, I’m one of those people!) but this year I think I might just stay home and let the crazies do their thing. We still need to decorate our Christmas tree, and hang the rest of our outside lights, so between family feasting, online shopping, Christmas decorating, family photo taking, and maybe a nap or two, I think this weekend might actually be quite busy! Oh, and we’re taking Adeline to see her very first movie in theaters on Saturday with her cousins and I can’t WAIT!

Enjoy your holiday weekend friends! Soak. It. Up.
