Happy Wednesday! Welcome to my very first ever…drumroll please…What I Wore Wednesday! Is that a thing? That’s a thing right? Like that’s what all the other bloggers do? Annnyywaaayys I thought I’d finally share a portion of photos from my work trip last week in a little roundup of what I wore. Because we all know working from home has its perks, including yoga pants and top knots all day everyday. To be fair, I DO get dressed most days in something presentable so I at least look put together enough for daycare drop off. (But the daycare drop off bar is very, very low. Let’s just be clear here!)
Now, I’m in no way a fashion blogger. Or a wannabe fashion blogger. I actually don’t even currently know what kind of blogger I am because I’m so far off the fitness wagon that I can’t even remember where I parked it. But that’s another story for another day. So, now that that’s out there, let’s jump in.
So as you know, I flew to NWA (Northwest Arkansas – aka Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville) last week for a 5 day work trip with my remote and headquarter corockers. It was a fun and busy trip, full of meetings, team bonding, and work. For someone who literally only needs to look “nice” for their toddler and their fellow WAHH, it was a nice opportunity to bust out of my latest fashion finds, as well as an opportunity to prove that my hair still works in the down position.
Monday: Airplane Ride 1 Look – The Merona Tee
I picked up this super soft tee from Target, and already regret not buying it in every color. It’s from Merona, and is baggy enough to be flattering, with a slightly lower back than front. Also they were on sale, 2 for $10. WHY DIDN’T I BUY TWO.
Tuesday: Office Day 1 Look – Loft Lou & Grey INSANELY Soft Dress (<– similar!)
This dress is literally the softest piece of clothing I own. I’m not even kidding. When I bought it, half off mind you, I asked the sales associate if it was actually a pajama dress. I’ve already worn it to church twice, each time with different sandals, and now on my trip. It can easily be dressed up or down, but obviously the most important feature is how soft it is. Oh, and I curled my hair. (I couldn’t find the exact dress online, so I linked a similar style and color!)
Wednesday: Office Day 2 Look – The Breezy Yellow Loft Tank
Wednesday was a weird day because we were only in the office for about half a day. We had a team bowling event for lunch, then took the afternoon off to visit Crystal Bridges Museum. I found this tank top at the Loft outlet in Little Rock before we left, and it’s been a staple ever since. It’s a nice mustard/happy yellow color, and looks nice with every shade of beige cardi I own. I actually paired it with a short beige cardigan while in the office, then wore it as is while at the museum exhibit outside because God only knows it was freaking HOT.
Thursday: Office Day 3 Look – Loft Lou & Grey Flowy Green Dress
For Thursday’s outfit, I again decided on a comfy dress. We also had headshots made this day so I wanted to be sure to wear a color I felt good in. This dress is also from Loft, and while not as soft as the one above, it’s still extremely comfortable. I paired it with a long cardigan from H&M so you can’t see the exact cut of the dress but it’s spaghetti strapped and slightly tailored at the waist. It feels girly and flirty, with a slightly low neckline, and could easily be worked into a fall wardrobe!
Friday: Airplane Ride 2 Look – The One I Don’t Remember
Apparently I didn’t take any pictures on Friday so I have no idea what I wore. So here’s a picture of my very attractive flight attendant, and what he wore, instead. Before you judge me, know that I texted this picture to Adam originally to tell him I could see the muscles bulging out of my flight attendant’s shirt and that he was mot definitely a mix of Channing Tatum and the Hemsworth brothers.
ANYWAAAYYSS, if I had to guess what I actually wore, I’d say probably jeans and a t-shirt with my Birkenstocks. You know, the best airplane attire there is.
What do you wear when you travel? What do you wear when you work, whether at home or in an office?
