Still Pregnant!

40+3 today! Still pregnant, folks!

Last night I took a good long walk around the lake hoping to get baby girl moving along. The fresh, cool air felt amazing, and I’m sure I received a few “she’s about to pop!” looks along the way.

I couldn’t believe how good I felt walking last night, and am so thankful that I’ve been able to stay so active throughout this entire journey. I really think it will help me recover that much faster, and feel more like myself sooner rather than later.

walking at past due date

This week has been a long one, and it’s only Wednesday. Playing the waiting game is no joke, specifically playing the waiting game when you go past your due date! But, at our Dr’s apt. on Monday she assured us that this is perfectly normal, and reiterated the fact that a due date is an ESTIMATION. Still tough to go past it though! Especially when “things have been favorable” for three weeks now. GAH! She will be here soon though, so I’m trying to soak up these last few minutes of free time!

I may not be popping back in for a few days while I finish up my to-do list, and Adam and I spend some extra time together before Miss Adeline joins the party. Thanks so much for all of your encouragement and well wishes so far! If you want the latest updates, follow me on Instagram!

Hopefully my next post will be introducing our little munchkin!!

I remember really struggling at the end there. It’s so hard to wait! Everyone was constantly asking me about it too, which made it worse. Just remember she will come when she’s ready! There’s nothing wrong with going past. My girl was 5 days late and the only thing that mattered was that she was healthy. I ended up making a baby blanket 2 days before she was born to keep myself busy. It’s going to come so quickly in retrospect. Enjoy the last days and sleep if you can!!

Gosh this is the longest week ever! I have been walking every day and it’s been crazy how great I feel! And, last night I slept the best I have in weeks! Maybe it’s a sign he’s on his way. I go to the doctor tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

Hang in there, mama! She will be here before you know it and you will feel like your pregnancy flew by!

I tried all of the old wives tales, none worked. They come when they are ready. One thing I’ve learned since becoming a mom is to throw my expectations out the window. Kids throw us so many curve balls (like not arriving when we think they will) and sometimes the best thing to do is hold on tight and enjoy the ride!
