Last weekend, my side of the family came for a visit and it was oh so wonderful. Anytime we can spend with family is always so special, especially now that we all live apart. I mentioned this last week, but we attempted family photos while everyone was here and it was not without a little bit of craziness! We did end up with several sweet images though, so it was worth it. We took these at the lake where we usually walk, and the weather could not have been more perfect. The sun was shining, and we plopped down in a shady spot on one of my grandmother’s old quilts. Don’t they look so picturesque? HA! Not pictured: my stress level as high as the sky, Adeline crying, Henry accidentally stepping on Adeline, Adam running home to find Adeline’s missing moccasin that I actually dropped out of the car in the parking lot (and you can’t even see her shoes in the pictures hardly so really I was just being a drama-mama), and a silly family taking photos with a tripod in the middle of the woods. Kind of like Kim Kardashian, you would not believe how many times we hit the camera timer before we finally got one image with BOTH babies at least facing the camera! Maybe we should finally invest in a selfie-stick?
Since I don’t have much to chat about today, I’m just sharing our favorites photos from our mini photo shoot. Happy happy Monday!
“Henry, how old are you?” “Two!” (holds up four fingers)
Family pictures may be tricky, but they are always worth the effort. Take time to take family photos – you will be so glad you did! I’m thankful for a family who typically indulges my frequent photo requests. We’re doing Adeline’s 6 month photos this next weekend, and I can’t wait!! Prayers now for a cooperative baby are appreciated!
PS HAPPY BOSTON MARATHON DAY! You can livestream it here.
