Sprigs Banjees Review & Giveaway

Happy Thursday, friends!

This week has been a doozy, getting in the swing of being back at work and still trying to kick this ear infection. Super annoying, that’s for sure!

I have a review AND a giveaway for you today! It’s for a product I happen to love, and use on almost every long run and race. I think you will like it, if you haven’t heard of them yet!

But first, I wanted to mention something that happened yesterday that really made my day, and got me thinking.

That may not be cool to some of you, and if you aren’t a person of faith then that’s fine too. But it really made me happy to think that someone took the time to email and tell me that, and that even the littlest thing on my blog influenced someone. It got me thinking about my readers and how sometimes we get wrapped up in the QUANTITY of our readers, when in reality, we should be focusing on the QUALITY of our readers, because those are the readers that are going to stick around, and invest themselves in reading what you have to say. And at the end of the day, if you’re able to make an impact on ONE person who truly loves reading your blog, it’s much better than 100 people who just randomly clicked over and stuck around for just a minute.

So, pretty neat, huh?

Sprigs Banjees Review and Giveaway

Sprigs contacted me SEVERAL months ago, and I am just now getting around to sharing this with you all. They very graciously sent me two of their Banjee wrist wallets to try out, and I absolutely love them and think they are just genius!

The wrist bands are a PERFECT way to carry your fuel with you on a long run, or better yet, your keys and phone! You’ve probably seen me wear mine in past races and long runs and wondered what that black thing on my wrist was…

I wear it on my right hand since I wear my Garmin on my left, and I pack it full with Shot Bloks and my car key if I’m alone!

Sprigs sent me two, one to keep and one to giveaway! The black/pink one I chose to keep is called the “2 Pocket Phone Banjee” and has a zip pocket, as well as a fold-over pouch.

I run with my phone on my arm, so I decided not to keep the other one they sent me, which is call the “Touch Mesh Banjee.” This one has just one pocket, but has mesh over the top of the pocket so that when you put your phone in it, you can still use the touch screen! And if you don’t use it for your phone, it would still be perfect for throwing in your fuel of choice, or key/credit card/id.

I have used SPI Belts as well, but have had trouble with them slipping up on my waist throughout my run. I’ve found that using this little wrist wallet is the perfect way to keep your hands free on a run but have easy access to what you need! I really enjoy not having anything on my waist, and feel less constricted with it on my wrist instead.

Here it is with my iPhone in it…

They’re super lightweight, and don’t slide around. This one specifically has a hole for your headphones to slide through as well!

Now, lucky for you, one of you will win this blue Touch Mesh Banjee! All you need to do is leave a comment on this post telling me WHY you need this in your life!

I will pick a winner randomly a week from today, April 3!

GO!

Have you seen these before? Would it be useful to you? Are you leaving a comment to tell me why you should win one?

I need this! I have a bad habit of carrying my phone. I have a wristband to hold shot blocks but it isn’t big enough for my phone. Thanks.

I am a phone holder as well! It feels weird to put it up on my bicep and then I can’t really see it either!

I would love to have the mesh banjee!! I am always borrowing my husbands SPI belt and since I have a bootie it doesn’t sit very comfortably around my waist! this is a great lighweight idea instead & you can easily see through the mesh to change a song mid run!!

This looks awesome! I need this because I don’t always have pockets when I run, and my body type means belts just don’t work for me. And, since I sometimes run when it’s stupid cold outside, this will help keep my phone from freezing by keeping it closer to my skin. Did you know that if your iphone gets too cold it thinks the battery is dead? Yeah, it scared me one morning ;p

I am training for my first half marathon in April, and the only blessing of training in the winter has been sweatshirts with pockets. Now that the weather is getting a little warm, I am concerned about how I am going to carry my phone without pockets!

I’ve never even heard of these, but big enough to fit a phone, wow, very cool.
I don’t like wearing stuff on my wrists. just my watch, I’ve even given up wearing my fitbit.
I much prefer my spibet for shorter distances or my fuel belt for something a bit longer.

I need this in my life! I hate the arm band phone holder that goes on your bicep. I’ve tried about 4 brands/styles/etc. and they all just annoy me! I’ve come to just holding my phone for entire races! It gets really gross.

    Feel better, pretty!

this is really cool! i would love one because i hate having to dig my phone out of my belt to see who is calling when i’m on a run. also i like to listen to pandora when i run and it would be awesome if i could just look down and see who the artist is of the song i’m listening to…i always feel so out of touch with that kind of stuff!
