And I’m back! Quick update on the no AC front – we were able to get a window unit Monday afternoon from our AWESOME neighbor who happens to be a manager for a local HVAC company, so our house is now quite comfortable and cool, and we are going to survive! Our home warranty is sending out a repair man this afternoon sometime, so hopefully by this weekend or early next week it will be fixed for good. There’s a chance he can fix it completely today, but it just depends on what parts are needed. Either way, our thermostat said 70 this morning, so that’s even cooler than we generally keep it!
We also had our 32 week appointment yesterday, and everything went smoothly. Adeline measured right at 31.5 weeks, so she’s right on track. I’m hoping she’ll be a little petite, but these next few weeks are going to include lots of growth!
I promised I’d recap our recent showers, so here we go! This post is going to be super photo heavy, so there’s your warning! I never imagined I’d be all about the soft pink for my baby girl, but for some reason I’ve been all about it ever since I found out she was in fact a she. I just love using the pink as a fun accent color, and I can’t wait to finally reveal the pink accents in the nursery!
On Saturday morning my mom, grandmother, and sister-in-law hosted a small family and friends shower at my parent’s house. It was simple and sweet, and I love love loved all of the decorations they set up! Adam got his own decoration as well, a giant Chewbacca balloon, naturally. I’m sure Adeline will learn to speak Wookiee at a very young age 😉
This crystal punch bowl was my grandfather’s great grandmother’s. Pretty special!
Girlfriends Shower – Pink and Gold Perfection
Saturday night, some of my closest girlfriends threw me a shower and then we all went out to dinner afterwards. It was adorable, and so so cute! We played games, including baby Price is Right, opened gifts, laughed about my inability to properly put a diaper on a doll, and pigged out on some of Nashville’s best mexican food!
Both showers wore.me.out. and Sunday morning I slept in until 10! I can’t remember the last time I slept that late! The whole day was incredibly special, and filled with women near and dear to my heart! I’m so thankful for how much time and thought went into these showers, and we were blessed with so many special gifts for Miss Adeline! Now, if I could just get everyone to move to Arkansas!
If you need me I’ll be writing thank you cards!
