I’m seriously loving my lunchtime workouts. I haven’t gotten to do too too many yet, but I’m loving them regardless!
Today I headed to the gym for what I originally planned on being a run, but I just couldn’t find the motivation to jump on the treadmill so I opted for the bike instead. Biking is and will always be one of my favorite ways to cross train and I honestly think it helps my running more than anything else. Not only does it help my cardio base, but it also strengthens my quads. I’d like to think that maybe it helps my core too a little when I practice sitting up straight!
It’s so easy to just get in your zone, focus on your music (or emails like I am all too guilty of), and just crank out a handful of sweaty miles. I love feeling the burn in my legs, and it’s not quite as mindless as running on the treadmill. I am also always sure to put my settings on manual and enter in all of my information so my readings are as accurate as possible. Sometimes I wonder how accurate stationary bikes are, so the more help I can give it, the better.
My ride today consisted of 7.6 miles, at a pretty decent pace, but at a pretty low resistance setting. Instead of giving myself a “hilly” ride, I opted for a flatter course, at a faster speed. 7 miles seems to be the perfect medium between a ride that feels too short, and a ride that takes much more time!
I also wore my second pair of new Feetures socks to test out – the elite ultra light no show tab. My absolute favorite running socks have always been my thinnest pairs, and these fit the bill perfectly. How cute are these colors??
OBSESSED would be an understatement. I’ll be sharing a full review on the blog soon, so stay tuned!
Happy mid-week!
How are you working out in the middle of the week? Do you wear Feetures? Do you enjoy biking at the gym?

August 30, 2016 at 12:52 pmI used to workout right after work too! I just can’t do the 5am thing,so I’ll always be an evening exerciser! Unless I can hit up my lunch break, of course!

August 25, 2016 at 9:55 pmI need to look into those socks. I’m having a love/hate relationship with mine lately. I wish I loved biking as much as running. It just doesn’t do it for me. Sigh.

August 30, 2016 at 12:51 pmYou should, I love them! I used to be the same way with biking – it’s definitely not my favorite, but it’s for sure been a good way to still feel active while I’m not running as much!
