When we got married a little over 5 years ago, I took our ring exchange very seriously. Sure, these rings are just things, but they’re also a tangible reminder of the commitment we made to one another. For life, and in front of all our family and friends. I’ve never felt like I needed to wear my rings because I wasn’t confident in our relationship, but more so because I respect our relationship and I want the world to know that we’ve made a promise to one another. That we honor that promise, that we’re husband and wife, that we’re a team, a force to be reckoned with. And while wearing rings isn’t exactly my favorite thing to do because they’re always sliding around, or getting hung on clothing, I dislike more the idea of not wearing them. I’ve even considered the idea of getting a ring tattooed on, but I’m just not sure I’m brave enough. Adam actually had one tattooed on about a year ago because he hates wearing his gold ring so much, and loves it! Oops, did not everyone know that? Surprise!
So anyways, since I find myself wearing my rings pretty much 24/7, I also find myself worried about damaging them. I wear them all day for the most part so they definitely take a beating over time – in the shower, doing the dishes, while I work, playing with Adeline inside and outside, running, at night in bed. (All of which are things your jeweler will tell you not to do with your rings on.) But now that I’m getting back to the gym on a regular basis, and specifically jumping back into strength training, I desperately needed something to help eliminate some of the wear and tear that happens during a workout in order to hopefully extend the life of my diamonds. I’ve always just worn my diamond rings to the gym out of habit, and have just tried to be careful and dealt with the uncomfortableness, but I’m so excited to have finally found something to wear in their place while I get my sweat on!
Enter: QALO! (Pronounced kay-low) QALO silicone rings are the perfect solution for when you still want to wear a ring, but don’t want to worry about scratching your diamonds, or precious metal bands, or don’t want to be uncomfortable while lifting weights. They’re super lightweight, barely noticeable, have a bit of give for when your fingers swell, are good looking, and come in a variety of styles, colors, and cuts. They’re also safe! Which is a huge plus. You don’t have to worry about ever needing to have your rings surgically cut off if you were to injure your finger while wearing them. Most importantly though, they still symbolize your love and commitment. You can easily switch out your diamond rings for your QALO rings anytime you’re embarking on a fun activity that could possibly damage your rings, or finger, or when you simply just want something more comfortable and discrete.
QALO is just a really cool company, and they support a lot of great organizations including Barbells for Boobs and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. They also offer first responder and military discounts. Wondering what QALO stands for? Quality – Atheltics – Love – Outdoors.
I was fortunate enough to be able to try out two sets of stackables, which has allowed me to truly customize the look I prefer, and change it up depending on my mood or outfit. My favorite combo is the Melody, but I really love the pop of the teal in the Lucca! And since I have two black ones, black bead and black twist, I can switch them up to change up the look. YA GOT OPTIONS PEOPLE!
I have LOVED wearing my QALO rings both to the gym, and even just while playing outside with Adeline. Playing with a toddler sometimes feels like it’s as rough on my rings as lifting weights at the gym! Can I get an amen?!
If you’re a mom like me who spends a lot of time in the gym, is active in other ways and needs a fun way to protect your most special possession, or has a career where you may not feel safe wearing your metal rings everyday, I really think you should check out QALO and all that they offer. Their silicone rings are perfect for both guys and girls, so you can even get your husband in on it! (I’m thinking about getting Adam one to wear over his tattoo for when he needs to cover it up!) There are tons of different options, and truly something for everyone. I wouldn’t be touting these little gems if I didn’t truly believe in them! I’m wearing two stackables as I type this in fact because they’re so comfortable I forgot to take them off after the gym yesterday!
PS talk about a great stocking stuffer!
Which style would you choose? One or multiple?
