Pregnancy: Weeks 29 – 30 {+ Weekend Recap}

Happy Monday!

Pretty sure I slept for a cumulative two seconds last night. Looks like it has officially begun!!

Before we get too ahead of ourselves, I finally sat down and re-did my About page. Remember when I said I was going to do that about 8 months ago?

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty darn fantastic. I was going to share all of my fun pictures from this weekend, but after updating the software on my phone, I had to delete and backup all of the photos on my phone to make space, so you’re stuck with what you saw on Instagram looks like, peeps!

Anyways, we had ZERO plans, and we spent lots of time on the couch watching TV and eating ice cream, in addition to squeezing in an impromptu Saturday night date and accomplishing a few nursery related things. (The ice cream was quite the debacle, but luckily I have a husband willing to go to the store TWICE in one night for his pregnant wife, just to ensure he picks up the correct kind!) I’m trying to appreciate more and more the alone time Adam and I have since I know it soon will be much more difficult. It’s hard to think about what life’s going to look and feel like once we add to our family, so for now I’m truly trying to soak up these last few weeks of quiet time with my number one. I can’t believe we’re in the ten week countdown! I also had a fun girls night on Friday, and grabbed dinner with some girlfriends from church and ended up chatting and laughing for over two hours. Along with spending extra time with Adam, these girls nights are also becoming numbered! At least until we get our newborn you-know-what together. I’d like to think there’s still hope of seeing other humans again at some point.

Week 29 flew by, and I completely forgot to take a bump update picture, so it’s being combined with my 30 week picture instead. We turned 30 weeks yesterday, and I am feeling every bit of that! I can’t imagine how much more she’s going to grow over the next two months, and as much as I hope it absolutely flies by, I do want to savor it and take it all in! She’ll never ever be this close to me again, and feeling her kick and roll around INSIDE my belly is simply amazing. Sometimes I wish Adam could experience it, but then again, it would probably freak him the heck out. At least he gets to feel it and see it sometimes. Guys have it so easy!

My highlights from the week(s) are below, and the date should actually read 8-9-15….fail. I promise I don’t still think it’s June, I just forgot to change my template. Although, I really can’t believe it’s the middle of August, so either way, I think I’m mentally behind.

Is anyone else getting super duper excited for fall? I’ve already got several post-baby fall tops (i.e. tent-sized button up flannels and chambrays easily conducive to nursing) lined up, and I’m eye-balling a fresh pair of riding boots. Now if it wasn’t 104 degrees outside, maybe I could pull the trigger! I’m just ready to have my body baaaaacccckkk is that so bad? 10 more weeks of cooking this little miracle before the turkey timer goes off, and then it’s back to my regular wardrobe…kind of.

Have a great day!

How was your weekend? If you’re a fellow prego, how is it going?? Are you ready for fall?

    I hear ya on the body and clothes back! Lol I’m so over maternity clothes and want something that is actually loose on me, lol! You look great! The heartburn is terrible. Mine usually appears at night after no warning. I could be sitting on the couch and boom! it hits, lol. Have a wonderful Monday!

    I really want a new pair of riding boots this fall! Mine died last year and i think it’s finally time to be a grown up and invest in some expensive ones to last forever

    Ahh impromptu date nights are the best! Enjoy this time with the hubby 🙂 I feel like all my friends are getting pregnant right now- I was worried things were going to change and they do but it’s great. We’re still just as close and being able to chat with her about baby stuff is good preparation for whenever I have kids!

      Definitely! This way you’ll have plenty of good girlfriends and mamas to lean on when it’s your turn! I have several good friends in our small group at church who had babies last year, and their experiences alone are a huge help!

    Your weekend sounds amazing! We went on our baby moon to Seattle over the weekend. While it was amazingly fun, I am SO TIRED today! No sleep and lots of walking, phew.
