Annnnnd here we are again! Time for yet another update. As of today we are 24 days from our due date. WHAT THE WHAT! These weeks are FLYING, but the days themselves are slower than molasses. I’ve decided these last few weeks are going to feel like running a marathon, and I’m so thankful I have that experience to mentally help myself! One day at a time, one mile at a time. It’s overwhelming to start thinking about the end as one final chunk, but instead I’m trying to focus on each individual day, and get through it as best I can! The final miles of a marathon are utterly exhausting and mentally draining, but so exciting at the same time, and I just keep reminding myself that there IS something amazing waiting at that finish line! Just. Keep. Going. One foot in front of the other, and the miles WILL pass!

This week brought more of the same, lots of Braxton Hicks, some round ligament pain, cramping, and some nerve pain in my lower pelvis/below my belly. <– Not fun!

Baby girl is definitely growing, and at our appointment on Tuesday she measured right on time at 36 weeks. I thought for sure the doctor would excitedly say she’s ahead of schedule, which is how it feels, but girlfriend is still trucking right along at normal growth! Maybe she’ll be born closer to her due date after all…we shall see!

I’m officially up 25 pounds from our first appointment at 8 weeks. I’m thinking I’ll settle in right around 30 once it’s all said and done, which seems just about right. It’s definitely weird seeing such a different number on the scale, but it’s only a season, and for a tiny human, so, no complaints here!

I am also curious as to what position she is in. We have an ultrasound scheduled next week to confirm it, but I’ve had fun trying to guess myself based on her movements. A part of me thinks she’s head down because of the new nerve pain and cramping down south, but I also feel her kicks up high and on both the right and left side of my belly, so I almost wonder if she’s sideways?? Either way, I don’t *think* she’s breech, which I am thankful for!

Now that it’s officially FALL (hallelujah!!!), I’m even more excited about busting out of this maternity wardrobe and back into my usual outfits! I feel like I’ve been wearing the same 3-4 outfits every week, and I am just.about.over.it.

Adeline will be here so soon, and I still can’t believe that in just a few weeks we’ll be adding a permanent new member to the family. This year has been surreal, and I still haven’t wrapped my head around what’s about to happen! I imagine I won’t truly comprehend it until I’m holding her. Or when we go home and it’s just us, ha! Truckee has been extra cuddly lately, so I wonder if she’s starting to sense that something is about to change. She’s been laying on the floor with her booty smooshed up against the boppy, and at night she’s content to lay in bed right up against me. This morning she almost didn’t let me leave the house, which she hasn’t done in months! Dogs are smart, so maybe she’s catching onto something. One thing is for sure though, her world is about to be rocked, and I CAN’T WAIT to see the two of them interact!

Here are the rest of this week’s highlights…

Darn my message was deleted! Dumb internet, ha. Anywayy you look great! Isn’t it exciting having your bags packed? I still don’t have Aaron’s, but that’s on my list for the weekend, along with some last minute to dos. Did you put the car seat in the car yet? That was so surreal! haha I’m jealous you get another ultrasound! Western PA like doesn’t do more than 1.. it’s so weird! My little one has dropped and is head down, but she still kicks on both sides. She just turns her bum and her legs switch sides, so I’m thinking Adeline is head down! Another way to figure it out is where the hiccups are located 😉 haha Hang in there girl! Hopefully we both deliver a bit early!

So glad she’s dropped! You are SO close!! Adeline is head down and dropped as well, so I’m hoping that might speed things along a bit!

I’m excited for you! I wore the same 3 outfits over and over again during the last few weeks of pregnancy too. Now I’m in this weird stage where I can’t wear maternity clothes and I don’t fit into my regular clothes. I might buy a few items to get me through before I lose the rest of the baby weight.

Thanks girl! Ha right, I’m definitely at the point of wearing the same thing each week! Aw I bet you’ll be back to your normal clothes in no time! No rush!

The weirdest thing right now for me is that I have numb palms! Such a strange thing that of course my doctor said is normal for pregnancy!

That is weird! I wake up sometimes at night and feel like my hands are numb too! It’s only happened a few times though, but I’ve read it’s normal too!

I love the comparison to a marathon! I was not a fan of the end of pregnancy with either boy. With my first, everyone kept telling me I’d go a little early and I totally didn’t (had to be induced at 41 weeks), so that just made it feel so much longer! Hang in there mama, it will all be a distant memory soon enough!

Whew, I’m praying and praying I don’t go that late, but you never know! Only little miss knows when she’s coming 🙂

I love your week by week photos. Can’t wait to see how you document your baby girl!

It hit me I was having a baby at 34 weeks when I went into labor and they were like okay you might be having a baby today! Ever since then I was like wait what??!! It didn’t truly hit me until she was born though. I still think about Claire’s birth a lot.

Thank you!! Haha I agree, I think once we’re AT the hospital and we’re like, LETS DO THIS THING, it won’t feel real!
