Pregnancy: Week 35

Happy Happy Friday!

Today officially marks ONE MONTH UNTIL OUR DUE DATE!

We’ll be 36 weeks on Sunday, and I am getting both more and more excited, and more and more nervous as the days fly by. Yesterday I made the mistake of watching a birth video, and I’m starting to wonder if I can really do this thing! I’ve decided it’s going to suck no matter which way she comes out, like, really, really suck, but it’s time to put on my big girl panties and get ready! The thought of what is physically going to happen to my body in a few weeks is enough to make me cringe. Just being honest here, folks.

Moving on!

Week 35 has been pretty much like the last few…feeling large and in charge, heavy, uncomfortable, heartburn is out of control, I have to pee every two seconds, and I can barely keep my eyes open come 8 o’clock, and yet by the time I crawl into bed, I can’t sleep anyways.

I did experience a new symptom this week though – round ligament pain. No fun! One night it was so bad I laid on the couch and didn’t move for about 3 hours, googling everything I could think of, and texting one of my fellow pregnant best friends (who’s actually due the day after us!). We came to the conclusion that it was probably RLP, and to drink a lot of water. It eventually stopped, but the sharp, shooting pains were definitely a new experience!

We also completely finished her nursery this week, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I had envisioned it being a very neutral, simple room, and I think we accomplished that. Hoping Adeline likes it too!

Our next Dr’s appointment is next Thursday, which is the start of our weekly appointments. We’ll be almost 37 weeks though by that point, so I’m ready to find out what position she’s in, even though I do think she’s already head down, or at least on her way to being head down! Fingers crossed!

Here are a few more highlights from this week…

35 weeks pregnant

Baby girl will be here in 4 weeks or less, assuming we don’t go past our due date, which of course is very much a possibility! My gut tells me she’ll be here before our due date, but there’s no way to know for sure! I feel like I’m planning an epic party, but I don’t know when the guests are showing up. Or, I’m planning my wedding without a date!

Either way, these next 4 weeks are sure to include lots of rest, cleaning the house, dates with Adam, and soaking up every little kick and roll while I still can. I’ve been very blessed to have a healthy pregnancy, and I can’t believe it’s almost over!

Do you predict she’ll come early or late? What was your experience like? What are your weekend plans?

The prospect of labor is pretty daunting… It’s all well and good to say, Hey, Let’s have a baby! But then at some point during pregnancy you realize, Wait, I have to HAVE a baby! Hoping your L&D goes smoothly, as well as these last few weeks of pregnancy. 🙂

So you are the second person I know that’s due on the 19th! One of my best friends and old roommates from college is also due that day! Good luck finishing up the nursery!! If you’re like me, you’re probably wishing you hadn’t put it off as long, I was so exhausted trying to wrap it up!

I’m predicting she will be a week early, so get ready mama! My little guy came two weeks early and I’m glad that he did because he would have been a BIG baby if were born on his actual due date!

I predict she will be an October 5th baby. 10-05-15. And you look great!

Weekend plans: I hope to get cozy with a new book. And since I have a 3 day weekend, perhaps I will even finish it! 🙂 Enjoy your weekend!

3 day weekend! Jealous! And 10-5 is Adam’s birthday, but I’m hoping she’s not THAT early 😉

I was terrified of giving birth.
If I can do it, you can do it :). Just seconds after delivering her I was telling everyone I wanted to do it again, it’s such a good experience.

Haha! That is so crazy that you instantly were like, let’s do that again! I guess that’s why people keep having kids 😉

I couldn’t watch the birth videos & I’m glad I didn’t. Try to remember the end result: holding your beautiful baby. I’m guessing oct 7 – my birthday.

Haha I so should not have!! It came in my Baby Center email so I was thinking it wouldn’t be that bad. But then I watched it and COULDN’T UNSEE IT! AH! Haha I imagine once I’m in that position I will be willing and ready to do anything it takes to get her in my arms 🙂
