You guys know I love a good picnic, but up until recently, I was actually without a great picnic basket! Today I’m sharing a super cute one, and why I love it! Just call me June Cleaver. Adeline seems to love it too, and I think she’d sit and dig through it all day if she could!
CarriEight makes adorable diaper bags, totes, picnic bags/baskets, and even travel totes. Their patterns are neutral and fun, and I am so glad I was introduced to them! I’m sharing all about the Daisy Flower Picnic Bag today and I think it’s safe to say it will be fully broken in by the end of the summer!
So before the storms came in tonight, surprise surprise, we headed out for some fresh air and a little picnic! Adeline actually, yet again, had a rough day at school and fell and scratched her head. I mean the poor girl can’t catch a break, ha! I figured she’d enjoy going on a little adventure, and getting spoiled with some new treats she doesn’t usually get to indulge in! Plus she loves playing in wildflowers and tall grass, so I knew she’d enjoy the scenery. And maaaaaybe I wanted one more excuse to wear our matching Chucks.
This picnic basket is the real deal, ya’ll. For starters, it’s way bigger than it appears. It’s kind of got a “Mary Poppins” effect, where it somehow holds everything! It’s got a handle that’s easy to grip, and can be folded down or removed. The inside is completely insulated, perfect for keeping things the proper temperature (HELLO ice cold Dr. Peppers!). The fabric on top has a drawstring so you can tightly secure your items. And the whole thing folds down into the cutest little size you’ve ever seen.
I’ve never owned a picnic basket before, but I feel like I’ve reached a new milestone in womanhood. Adeline is obsessed with it, and now I feel like I need to find her a toy picnic basket!
Here’s another closeup. The exterior material is polyester, so you can spot clean it, and wipe it down, but they don’t suggest using a washing machine or anything like that.
Seriously? Adorable. I’m not like a regular picnic basket mom. I’m a cool daisy picnic basket mom.
And here is the insulated interior, and the whole thing folded down. It literally takes up ZERO space once you fold it down, so you can practically store it anywhere! Praise!
Do you have a picnic basket? Have you heard of CarriEight? What’s your fave way to picnic?
