Hello hello! Hope your Labor Day weekend was as fabulous as ours was! We spent the long weekend up in Northwest Arkansas at one of our favorite lakes, relaxing in the sweetest little cabin you ever did see.
Before I recap our Babymoon weekend, I wanted to post last week’s pregnancy update AND our maternity photos! We got them back on Friday, and I couldn’t be more excited with how they turned out. Our sister in law is a talented photographer, and was able to incorporate our rustic and natural style perfectly. I’ve got plans to order a few prints for around the house, including a large canvas and a smaller print for Adeline’s nursery.
Let’s hop to it.
First, here’s how week 33 went! Side-note, we are actually 34+2 now, so I’m a bit behind. Hopefully now that all our trips are taken and we are free every weekend between now and D Day, I can stay caught up!
Week 33 proved to be another exhausting week, full of Braxton Hicks and yes, fatigue. By 9 pm I found myself practically falling off the couch, and so far this week has been more of the same. It’s definitely making it difficult to finally complete her nursery, which I’m hoping to do this upcoming weekend. I’m also just feeling bigger and heavier, which seems obvious, but the extra weight of this basketball I’m smuggling is taking its toll on my hips and causing some serious aches! Let’s not even talk about how often I have to pee, it’s pretty comical!
I’ve been feeling pretty good though during the day, and have been able to get some things done around the house. I’ve also been trying to attack thank you notes before I get so uncomfortable that I don’t want to sit and do them. So far, I’ve got them almost all written, just need to address and mail them! Grandmothers everywhere would be so proud.
Week 33 also seemed to be Adeline’s most active week so far. Though this week might be pretty comparable. She’s been rolling around like a crazy lady, and it’s been so fun to see it and I can tell that she’s quickly running out of room to stretch her legs! If she’s anything like her mama, she does not like being cooped up!
Rustic Maternity Photos at Sunset
We took these right as the sun was going down when I was 31 weeks. It was hotter than Hades, though hopefully you can’t tell! I decided I wanted to fake a more “early fall” look, because I am so sick of wearing the same maxi dresses over and over! I love how they turned out, and am so thankful we took the time to take these. Lord knows once baby girl makes her appearance, these special moments between just Adam and I will be few and far between! I think it’s so important to document such a beautiful time, and I know I’ll always love these images. The quilt we used was the same quilt my grandmother kept on her bed in college, and the ‘A’ is going to hang in the nursery. Here are my favorites from our session. And warning, it’s quite a few!
There you have it! I’ll be back tomorrow or Thursday for a Babymoon recap!
