10 In Adeline/ Motherhood

Our First Turkey Day with A

Happy day after Thanksgiving! Or Black Friday. Whichever you prefer to celebrate! I’m usually out shopping right about this time, but this year things are a bit different. Online shopping is where it’s at!

Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving up in our college town with Adam’s brother’s family and his wife’s family. We were intending on just stopping by for everyone to see and meet Adeline, but then were warmly welcomed to stay for the feast. We stuffed our faces, and sweet Adeline slept the entire time. She doesn’t know what she’s missing, yet, but next year I imagine she will be a bit more entertaining.

I loved being a family of 3 for our first official holiday, and am feeling extra thankful for my two most favorite people. Also, how fantastic did it feel to wear REAL clothes?!

Adeline has always been a snuggle bug, and this picture captures her favorite spot. She loves nothing more than to be held tight, patted on the bottom, and bounced up and down.

She sported her My 1st Thanksgiving sleeper, and a plain lace headband.

Once we made it home, the tiny turkey and I each got our workouts in. Tummy time for her, and a short walk for me.

She LOVES the Ergo. Well, I say that. She hates being put in it, but once we start walking she’s a happy camper. Unless she has a dirty diaper then she just hates it all around. But who wouldn’t hate being jostled around with a soggy bottom?

Short and sweet post today, peeps. Adeline is finally sleeping after an extra fussy morning, so I’ve got to knock out my to-do list QUICK! First up – order newborn photo canvases! GO!

How was your Thanksgiving? Are you shopping today? Is it starting to feel like winter where you are? Pretty sure we skipped fall!

What cute Turkey Day pajamas! My new little man didn’t have anything special because I didn’t expect his first TG would be until next year!

I LOVE the Ergo! I’m so glad we tried it. It’s way way easier for me to use than one of our wraps!
