Happy Monday! If you’re anywhere near Little Rock then you’re probably dreading another chilly week after this beautiful, mild weekend! So far though, the forecast for next weekend’s half marathon is looking perfect! Hopefully it stays this way!

It was a BIG weekend for the Ingle house! We may or may not have bought A NEW CAR! Well, a new-used car. But only slightly used. We. Love. It. We really only went to test drive it, says every car buyer in the history of car buying.
It’s a 2013 Toyota Camry LE. 34 MPG Highway was hard to turn down, plus an incredible deal. Saying goodbye to my SUV was sad, but change is always a good thing! If you follow me on Instagram you can check out a picture of it, but I won’t be blogging it for safety reasons.
The new car is super safe, nicer, cleaner, better gas milage, and still had plenty of room in it for all of the traveling we do.
Since we ended up spending the majority of Saturday at the car dealership, our workouts got pushed back to Sunday morning before church. I just couldn’t wake up in time on Saturday morning, and really felt like I needed the extra sleep. (Why is my best always the MOST comfortable on a Saturday morning??) So glad I went yesterday morning instead, and it made me really consider getting up and going before work on a regular basis! While I was at the gym, Adam took Miss Truckee for a run around the neighborhood.
Here’s the workout:
1 mile 8:49, 2 sets leg curls, 2 sets leg press, 2 sets lunges, free weight arms, 1 mile 8:41, repeat previous weights and machines, 1 mile 8:34.
It was definitely enough to make me tired the rest of the day and feel like I will be good to go in a week for the race! I decided not to do a long run this weekend to make double sure I’m rested enough. The only thing I’m truly worried about on race day is how my ankle/tendon will hold up, and if my foot will cramp again. Hopefully I can skirt past these issues and be fine. After this half I don’t intend to do another long race until October, and that’s if I even decide to sign up for it. This summer is probably going to be dedicated to shorter races! And MAYBE a tri. If I can work up the courage to find one and sign up, and find a good pool to swim at!
