You guys, can you believe it’s time to Christmas shop? I can’t. I’m still in disbelief that we’re in the last 50 days of 2017. It seems like each year passes quicker than the one before, but maybe that’s because we’re just so caught up in this crazy thing called life. Either way, Thanksgiving is next week, which also means Black Friday is upon us! Whether you believe in Black Friday shopping or not, I think it officially sets the tone for the Christmas season. I love Black Friday shopping, (and don’t forget Cyber Monday!) and I always like to map out a game plan ahead of time. This of course includes making a list of things I for sure want to snag as soon as I can. In a perfect world, I would have all of my Christmas shopping done before December, but I would be lying if I said I was never out and about on Christmas Eve picking up a few last minute items!
For Black Friday this year, I have my eye on a few simple things for Adeline like Santa jammies and snow boots for our big trip, as well as our Christmas cards and my latest completed photo book I’d like to order. On the toy front though, I’ve got my favorite Melissa and Doug finds already bookmarked and ready to go. Melissa and Doug toys are literally the greatest things ever, and make up a hefty portion of my list! I’ve found M&D toys to be high quality, classic, and just so darn cute. Specifically, I’m looking at sticking with toys that are age appropriate, and that she can truly understand and enjoy right now. I’m thinking kitchen accessories, coloring supplies, and a few fun things she’s currently loving. She’s kind of obsessed with spotting school buses so I’m thinking #8 on my list below just might be one of her sweet gifts from Santa. She’s also always interested in our coffee and likes to pretend she’s drinking it too, so #1 is pretty high up on the list as well!
I thought I would compile a list of other Melissa and Doug toy finds that would be perfect for two year olds. These are all things that I’ve crushed on and would love to add to our playroom! I tried to only add things that said they were appropriate for ages 2+ and tried to steer clear from too many things that started at age 3, though I’ve found a lot of things that are marked for ages 3+ are totally fine for 2 year olds!
Check it out, make your list or pin it for later, and get ready to shop! Let me know which M&D toys you have your eyes on for your little ones! What would you add to the list? (I didn’t add a kitchen or an easel, because we already own them and they are competitors to M&D. That’s my inner work voice coming out, ha!)
