I received the following shampoo in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
Does anyone else get super paranoid about their hair? Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like my hair goes through phases where it sheds a TON and I’m convinced I’m going to be bald by 30. I know when you have long hair it can appear to be worse than it really is, but sometimes I just really feel like I could make a wig with the amount of hair that falls out from the shower. I know I’m not alone in this! Ha!
I know my “hair loss” is 100% connected to stress though, just because of the way it comes and goes, and always resolves itself. I also sometimes struggle with dandruff and itchy scalp, which isn’t exactly the most fun thing to deal with! (If we could just get rid of this cold dry air maybe my scalp wouldn’t be so darn dry and itchy!) I clearly take my hair health seriously, and try to at least be somewhat conscious of the products I use on a regular basis. You guys know I’m a huge Beautycounter fan, so I definitely appreciate better-for-you products. And of course, this includes shampoo. I try really hard to look for poo’s and condish’s that are at least sulfate free, or lean more towards the “fewer chemicals” end of the spectrum.
Recently I was sent a bottle of Maple Holistics Tea Tree Special Formula Shampoo to try out, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. First off, anything infused with tea tree oil smells like a dream. There’s just something about that scent that screams CLEAN. I can’t get enough. This shampoo specifically also contains “98 all-natural compounds to promote scalp health” (umm goodbye dandruff maybe??) and is completely sulfate free. Boom!
I’ve been using it for about two weeks now, and I’m really impressed. It doesn’t take much to do its job, and it’s left my hair smelling spa-like, but without feeling like it’s being stripped or loaded down with chemicals. I’ve also noticed a less itchy scalp, which I really think can be attributed to the tea tree oil.
Maple Holistics has a full line of bath and body products, including essential oils, all of which are all natural, sulfate free, and cruelty free. They’re also all made in the USA. Not gonna lie, I’m kind of eyeing the beard oil for Adam!
If you’re looking for another option for natural products, definitely check out Maple Holistics!
