Loving Lately: Feisty Coke, Sherpas, and Ornaments

Happy Friday! It’s been a week over here, you guys. And to celebrate, I’m having some girls over tonight to over indulge in my favorite tots, drink one too many Dr Peppers, and not think about anything stressful! Amen to that.

I thought I’d share some things I’ve been loving lately, in true Friday blogger fashion. I’m sure some of you can relate to a few of these, or might find something new. Win-win.

Let’s jump in.

Fall Family Photos

We received our photos back from our mini session we did on Thanksgiving and I’m completely in love. I’m obsessed and want to frame every one of them. I posted a preview of them on Instagram last night, saying “Remember when we wanted what we currently have?” I’ve had this saying on my heart a lot lately. Growing up is a funny thing. You think your whole life that when you reach a certain age or a certain milestone that you’ll feel a certain way. And right now? Even though I feel extremely grateful for what we have, our two precious children, I often find myself feeling like this all too surreal. Have we really made it? Is this what life is all about? I waited my whole life to follow all the steps – go to college, get engaged, get married, get a good job, and have babies. And now, we have that. We’re there. And it’s a strange feeling. Anyone else understand the least bit of what I’m trying to say? Anyways, this is just a wide shot from our session, and I can’t believe how lucky I am. I’ll share the rest once we order our Christmas cards.

Feisty Cherry Diet Coke

Ok now, I kind of feel like I’m cheating on my beloved Dr Pepper by posting this, but ya’ll. Adam is onto something. He had this at work the other day and came home raving about it. I haven’t had a Diet Coke since right before we got pregnant with A, but I’m kind of digging this “flavor” of my old friend, DC. I’ve been hard core craving carbonation lately, and this has been a tasty treat!

Baby Carhartt Overalls

Can. You. Even. My MIL gifted these to use before B was born, and I can’t believe he’s big enough to wear them now!! What a little man’s man he is. BACK OFF LADIES HE’S MINE.

Monkey Bars Climbing Tower

So funny story. I’ve been desperately feeling like we needed something in our backyard for A to get her energy out on. Yes, we have a nice playground like 6 houses down from us, but that means we have to actually walk down there and it’s not as easy as opening our back door. (And honestly the part that’s not easy about it is that she never wants to leave!) Anyways, I found this cool monkey bars climbing tower dome thing on Amazon, and my parents helped us get it for her for her birthday. But, I never actually ordered it for her birthday, and just decided to make it a Christmas gift from Santa. But when it came the other day, I made the mistake of opening the Amazon box and leaving it where she could find it. And she did, and now she’s freaking obsessed and is begging us to put it together for her. So, it’s no longer a Christmas gift, ha! Either way, I’m excited to see her climb and play on it, and I’m hoping it’s actually good quality!

Thread & Supply Fleece Sherpa Pullover

I’ve been looking for a sherpa pullover since last fall and I finally found one at Nordstrom recently. I’m pretty sure I got it for like 30% off, which it might still be, and it is the softest thing EVER. It comes in 3 different colors, and mine is the Ivory one. Love, love it.

Hallmark Christmas Movies

Nothing says Christmas time like Candace Cameron Bure and Hallmark movies. Amiright?

Also, did you know there’s an app from Hallmark where you can check off all the Hallmark Christmas movies this season to make sure you see them all?! Gonna need to download that asap.

New Family of Four Christmas Ornaments

Does anyone else order fun family ornaments every year? I usually make a photo one on Shutterfly, and then get the kids each a fun one, but this year I’m actually super excited about this snowman family ornament I ordered! (Obviously, the names will be ours.) I’ve seen these for years at those kiosks in the mall, and I finally found one on Etsy.

A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy

Yessssss if you haven’t watched this yet, do yourself a favor and watch it tonight. Grab a cup of hot chocolate, and enjoy it! It’s hilarious, and 90’s sitcom perfection. And it’s the Legends, and they’re just the cutest.

Good to know you liked the legends Christmas, I’ll have to watch that this weekend! I love Diet Coke, but still haven’t tried those new flavors, I might have to do it soon!

It was fun to watch, cheesy, but funny! And I haven’t had Diet Coke in YEARS so I was surprised I liked it.
