I finally finished putting together Adeline’s new, old room and although it’s the same, it’s still a little different. The room is smaller, shaped differently, and the walls are more gray-based than I’d actually intended on, but it’s fine for now! I rearranged a few things, and I’m loving how it turned out. It’s not perfect yet, and is a little mis-matched right now because I’m slowly adding in a few “big girl” things I’ve picked up since she was born (which is where some of the gold accents are coming from). Eventually I plan on transitioning to a really cute white wrought iron toddler bed, or just use a kit to convert her crib – we’ll see when that time comes! I actually can’t wait to decorate her toddler room – I think it will be fun to replace the changing table, and add in a few more sophisticated pieces!
Adeline adjusted really well, and it only took two “rough” ish nights before she was back to sleeping like a champ, and more importantly, falling asleep like a champ. I love that the playroom is upstairs right around the corner, so we don’t spend as much time in her nursery actually playing like we did in the old house.
And, if we’re being honest, I took about a dozen nice photos of her room on my big camera. But I just couldn’t get a wide enough angle to show the whole room so for time’s sake, I’m relying on some simple iPhone snaps! I also just really didn’t feel like editing them all, lazy mom over here! I’ve got Hulu binges to get caught up on OKAY?!
Whenever we transition to the ole ‘big girl room’, I really want to incorporate more fun gold accepts, and maybe her own little teepee. I love the look of plain canvas teepees, and think they can be girly’d up with some cute flowers tied on top. Maybe I’m just dreaming…but for now, Adeline is happy as a clam in her new, old nursery.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
