Last Minute WDW Marathon Thoughts

Well, after a busy travel day I’m finally settled into my Disney hotel, I’ve had my pasta (pizza tomorrow), I’ve picked up my packet and bib from the expo, and my heart has just about exploded out of pure excitement and anticipation for Sunday’s big race! I am already loving being surrounded and completely submerged in all things Disney and my childhood memories are flooding back! I think the last time I was at Disney was my sophomore year of high school to visit my brother, or maybe a band trip freshman year. Either way, it’s been probably 10 years!!

I’m blogging from my iPad so I’ll keep it short and sweet. I met up with Ashleigh at our hotel around 5, after two easy flights to Orlando, and a 45 minute ride on the Magical Express shuttle. We quickly headed to the expo, grabbed our packets/bibs/shirts, then booked it to Downtown Disney for a delicious pasta dinner at Planet Hollywood. Y’all, Grilled Chicken Mac & Cheese with bacon and Parmesan cheese was where it’s at!

After dinner, we shopped, walked around, and joined in on a dance party/show for a mean cha-cha slide. It was ridiculously cheesy and fun 🙂 We walked around the world’s largest Disney store and it was amazing.

I’m laying in bed now, exhausted and ready to fall asleep and SLEEP IN tomorrow!!!! I. Can’t. Wait. I don’t want to sleep in too late though because we will need to go to bed tomorrow night around 7, to wake up at 3 AM! AH!! We are hoping to head back to the expo and spend some time walking through it and checking out all the vendors, grabbing lunch, going back to Downtown Disney, then grabbing pizza for dinner, then bed!

This weekend is already so much fun, and we just got here!

We might, depending on how we feel, go to Magic Kingdom Sunday afternoon or night after the race, but we’ll see. I REALLY want to see the Spectro Magic parade and fireworks show! Assuming it still happens every night!

Ok friends, this runner needs some sleep!

Less than 24 hours!! Thank you to everyone who’s been so encouraging or anyone who’s taken the time to wish me good luck or leave comments full of Run Disney words of wisdom! You guys are the best!

Night!!!!

Any last minute pieces of advice?!

Good luck! This is definitely a one-of-a-kind racing experience, so it probably goes without saying to just soak it all in and enjoy it 🙂

Agreed, and you know I did! I’m thinking I should make a cute photo album of all our pictures, especially since I know we’ll never do it again!
