Guess what day it is!!!
This will be mostly a photo-filled post, so I’ll be back later with a more “educational” one! I bought a fantastic book last night, one that I’ve been dying to read lately, and one I think will take me out of the rut I’ve been feeling as of late. My goal is to read it cover to cover, and blog about it along the way. I think that will really help me absorb it even more! It’s called, 48 Days To The Work You Love, by Dan Miller. Heard of it? Yes? No? Maybe so? Well, you’re about to! The author is actually from my hometown, so I’ve heard about it countless times but have never been in the right mindset to sit down and read it. And now, I think I’m ready to inspire myself! I’m hoping to give my first thoughts on chapter one later today, so bare with me. K, moving on.
As promised, I’m finally getting around to posting the rest of our lake pictures from this past weekend! We really had a blast, and as you know, Truckee is now a swimming machine. I think that dog has gills…really, I think she’s a fish!
Once we got to the lake and unloaded, Truckee was ready to party! So to appease her, Adam threw the frisbee with her while my dad got the kayak ready.
If you’re interested in photography, the above picture is a perfect comparison of depth of field. On the left, most everything is in focus, while on the right, Truckee is the focal point. I’ll explain more when I start my photography 101 series!
And just to make my story complete, here’s a repeat of Monster Truck swimming for the first time.
After we were done kayaking and playing in the water, we explored for a little bit before settling down for our picnic lunch.
Sometimes I’m amazed by the beautiful things God creates. I looked down and couldn’t help but notice how pretty the sun looked shining through on these rocks and water!
Sandwiches, fresh fruit, Pringles, and cookies. Can’t go wrong there.
Little family 🙂
“You expect me to go back in that thing? I’m fine right here, thanks.”
Alright friends, now, go have a GREAT hump day!
But first, answer me this…
I’m planning on doing a short photography 101 series, with some tricks of my trade 🙂 , would you tune in? What types of snacks do you pack for picnics? What is a current goal you have for yourself right now?
