Ignite Naturals InRefresh Review + Giveaway

Hello hello!

running in arkansas

Yesterday was a GORGEOUS day here in Arkansas, so I just had to take advantage of the warmth and hit up the lake. A quick 2.5 miles were on the agenda, and I resisted the little voice on my shoulder that told me to keep going to 3. The last thing I want is to over-do it, but it’s killing me to not run freely like I was a few weeks ago! Hopefully after a few more easy days, I’ll be back at it! I could definitely tell that I haven’t been running as much lately, as these short miles were a bit of a struggle! I kept telling myself, “You ran 20 miles here one time, I think you can manage 2!” There’s just something about running around my little lake that I love, and brings peace to my mind. Mix in the sunshine, and I’m a happy camper. I’ve decided that I never want to take my health for granted, because running may not always be an option!

I wore my favorite hot pink Max Flow headband, and again was impressed that it didn’t slip off! You can check out their bands HERE.

I also took a new electrolyte drink mix with me, since it was finally hot enough to get a good sweat on! And today I’m reviewing it, plus doing a giveaway!

Ignite Naturals Review and Giveaway

ignite naturals

A few months ago I was contacted by Ignite Naturals and offered a chance to review their hydration products, specifically the InRefresh line! Ignite Naturals make all-natural plant based electrolyte drink mixes, shakes, gels, and enzymes. All of their products contain… “No GMOs (genetically modified foods). No stimulants. No artificial sweeteners or processed sugars. No hormones. And no unnatural fillers — just an impressive list of antioxidants and real food ingredients. All scientifically formulated to support superior performance now and your safest long term recovery possible.” They use REAL food products, and are proud of an ingredient list you can pronounce. Ignite uses “organic unprocessed whole fruit extracts like mango, banana, papaya, blueberries, blackberries, figs and more. So you’ll never have to choke down artificial tastes and ingredients to perform your best.”

From their website…”We know the source of all of our ingredients and work directly with the manufacturers whenever possible. We also focus on buying from fair trade sources only. That way, we can ensure every process is as sustainable as possible. We are relentless with quality control — double checking all HCOA (certificate of authenticity) no matter the source, to ensure it’s accurate. Then we test again to make sure no heavy metals or other harmful chemicals have been added that will hamper your performance.”

I was sent the InRefresh Electrolytes to test out, and the verdict is in…I love them!

These drink mixes are made with 100% plant-based high quality real food ingredients, such as: Aloe, Dragon Fruit, Prickly Pear, Organic Coconut Water, Pomegranate, and Cranberry. They also contain 72 trace minerals!

They come in 5 flavors: Dragon Fruit Lemon Lime, Tangerine Passion Fruit, Blueberry, Prickly Pear, and a Kona Blend.

Since I tend to cramp pretty easily, keeping my electrolytes balanced is super important to me! I always try to eat bananas close to or after exercising, but drinking something is MUCH easier and more appetizing! One packet of InRefresh Dragon Fruit Lemon Lime contains: 115 mg of Sodium, 453 mg of Potassium, 250 mg of Vitamin C, 55 mg of Calcium, and 27 mg of Magnesium, and 55.5 mg of sugar. Oh, and it’s only 0-5 calories per packet and 0.7 carbs!

The sample box contained 10 packets, each with one serving. Side-note: how cute is that water bottle? Perfect for mixing my drink!

I tested out the Dragon Fruit Lemon Lime.

All you need to do is mix one packet with 8-12 oz of water, and stir!

I actually loved it so much, I came home and made a second drink with my dinner!

The taste is fresh and crisp, and not overly sweet. I noticed that the sweetener that WAS used was Stevia, which is an all-natural sugar that’s derived from a South American plant. If you’re a stickler about sweeteners, do some research on Stevia and make your own decision.

Now, lucky for you, they have offered to give one of my readers a sample box of their own!

Just leave a comment on this post telling me why you would want to try out these electrolytes and what flavor sounds most appealing to you!

I’ll pick a random winner a week from today, Tuesday, April 8th.

I’d love to try these because I’ll be training all summer and would love to try this product because of its electrolytes! I love that it’s sweetened with Stevia, so much better than Gatorade!

Ooo… I’ve been looking for something new to help me in marathon training. I’m running the New River mArathon in North Carolina on May 3. The tangerine passion fruit sounds refreshing! Thanks for the Twitter love this morning! 🙂 The lake looks like a beautiful place to run by; I don’t have any bodies of water nearby that are run-friendly, but I love it when I’m on a trip and have that kind of scenery. I can’t complain, though, because I live in the Smoky Mountains, so I get to look at them while I run.

I have never heard of this stuff! But what I have heard of is a great and speedy run like the one up top! I am so jealous of your purple Garmin – they didn’t have that color when I got mine (I have pink) and I wish I had waited because, duh, purple. 🙂

I get severe foot cramps due to what I think is an electrolyte imbalance when I exercise in the evening while restricting calories (1500). I would love to try these out to see if they alleviate my muscles spasms and help me to stay hydrated and ultimately help me push harder while running and working out!
