How to Make Chocolate Chip Dip

Hi again!

Before I get into things, let’s chat real quick about today’s workout…

running in arkansas

I have only run twice now in the past two weeks thanks to all of this rain lately. I’m regretting my decision to cancel the gym back a few months ago but I had no idea it would rain for three weeks straight! Either way, I got in a solid three mile run, two hard miles and one easy mile. Better late than never! I’ve got a 5k coming up that I have GOT to start training for! But in the meantime, I’ve been making tasty recipes like this one…

How to Make Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Dip

We are hosting our life group this month so Sunday night I wanted to make something easy that would be good for everyone to casually snack on. This recipe fit the bill perfectly, and was a huge hit. It’s not exactly healthy in anyway at all, but it is so, so good! I actually doubled the recipe, so if you’re just making it for 2-3 people, you can half everything and it will turn out just fine!

Here is what you’ll need…

-2 (8)oz packages of softened cream cheese, 16 oz total
-1 cup softened butter
-1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
-4 Tbsp brown sugar
-2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-2 cups chocolate chips
-graham cracker sticks

1. Beat together the softened cream cheese and butter.

2. Add both sugars and vanilla, beat again until well combined and smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.

I love cream cheese dips! I make one with Heath candy bars that is delicious on apples.

Woah! That is some serious calories. I bet it’s amazing though! But one I will have to avoid. I’m trying to be healthier right now! Reminds me of dunkaroos.

This looks amazing!! I love how it’s full of sugar and butter- the good stuff! Super refreshing to see a recipe like this instead of a “healthy” version. Not that there’s anything wrong with those either 🙂

Oh I didn’t mean salmonella in your recipe! I meant in the normal cookie dough that I usually eat loads of. Sorry for the confusion! I meant it was a dream come true for those people like me who love a TON of cookie dough and don’t want to worry about anything like salmonella! 🙂

I made a version of this last year that was peanut butter cup chocolate chip dip. {pretty much the same as yours, but add mini choc. chips to the list} It was for a group of college girls and was a HUGE hit! Can’t beat a good cookie dip recipe 🙂

I haven’t made this dip in particular but I have made the cookie dough dip using the chick peas (which was really good!) and my own basic and simple peanut butter chocolate chip dip using only pb@, regular peanut butter and chocolate chips. The PB2 gives a great thick cookie dough consistency. I am kinda in the mood for it now!

    YUM- that looks awesome!!

I’ve made funfetti cake dip which is kinda similar (actually, now that I think about it, not really similar at all- it was just yogurt, cake mix, and cool whip… no cream cheese. but whatev 😉 )- oh man, that stuff was GOOD. Dangerously good. Now I have a craving for it 🙂
