Oh hey there! Sorry for a bit of radio silence, life this week has been a bit more stressful than usual! Thankfully though, and knock on wood, this should have been the last curveball. When it comes to selling a home, what they fail to tell you when you put your house on the market is, “Expect the unexpected. Go ahead and stamp Murphy’s Law onto your forehead because whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. Good luck!”
It’s been quite the adventure getting ready to close on our house this month. I always thought buying a home was stressful, but ay ay ay, selling a home is like a whole other ballgame. I feel like I need to do a post dedicated to things we’ve learned, what we’d do differently, what we wish we’d known. I liken this whole process to buying a car – somehow everyone you end up dealing with throughout the process makes you want to pull your hair out. Maybe I’ll throw a post together after all is said and done, if anyone is curious! Until then though, this is how I think we’re both feeling.

So, as expected, my workouts have basically fallen to the wayside here lately. Can we get a big fat, “UUGGGHHH” to that? I feel like I had worked my way up to a great point, and was really proud of where I was at but then the house thing sorta kinda happened wicked fast and now I’m thinking I won’t have the time or energy to workout again until we’re officially in TX. I have, however, still been keeping up with my daily regimen of pushups, which I guess is a small way to still maintain some amount of overall strength. Lately I’ve been making myself do 15 a day, sometimes 20 if Adam challenges me enough! Flashback to when I was in shape and had all the energy in the world. Aka, before having a kid.
I need ideas though for some more at-home exercises I could do between like conference calls and emails. I usually have a pretty good arsenal of ideas but lately I just feel brain dead and can’t think of anything new or fun! Oh my goodness, I am so looking forward to getting back into a fitness routine – there’s such an obvious decline in my energy and mood because I haven’t been going like I was. The countdown is on, June 29th can’t get here soon enough.
