My half is QUICKLY approaching, and low and behold, I’ve caught a terrible cold! I’m hoping I feel okay when I wake up Saturday morning, but until then I’m resting, drinking orange juice, taking my vitamins, and drinking A LOT of water in hopes that I can flush out this sinus mess before race time! Ick!
Last night I did a quick little shake out run, and by quick, I mean two measly miles just to stay loose. I felt surprisingly good, and it did make me feel optimistic. But, I still worry about not being at 100%, so for now, I’m focusing my attention on feeling better and not focusing on any goals I’ve set at the moment. I’m not going to think about them again until the start gun goes off.
Before I doze off on the couch, thanks to a whopping dose of Benadryl, I’m going to share some of my recent pins! Lately I’ve been pinning several delicious looking recipes that I can’t wait to make. Naturally, with more training, comes a bigger appetite, and a bigger appetite means MUST EAT ALL THE FOODS! Bring it on, Pinterest! If you don’t already follow me on Pinterest, jump on that band wagon now, ya’ll! I promise I only pin recipes that are probably terrible for you. But life’s about balance, right? Right. I think it’s safe to say I like cheese, dips, and carbs in general. But, I think you’d be hard pressed to find a runner who doesn’t say, “I run so I can eat more!”
