Family Photos: 2 Years Old

It’s been a year since we’ve done family photos together, and like always, I’m so glad we took the time (and energy!) to do it again! I was super diligent about making sure we thoroughly documented Adeline’s first year, doing photos with her for maternity, newborn, 6 months, and then a year. And in between, I did photos of her every single month. Now that she’s TWO though, we’re getting back on an annual schedule, and my favorite way to do that is by taking fall family photos around her birthday. It also doubles as Christmas card photos, so we can kill two birds with one stone.

One of my biggest concerns with us moving was how she would adjust. I was so worried she would hate her new school, stop sleeping well, stop being as verbal, and just not seem like herself. But our move has been just the opposite! She is absolutely thriving, and has grown up into a confident, HAPPY toddler right before our eyes. I’m not sure what happened during the chaos of this summer that made Adeline come out of her shell but she came out ready to party! She’s just so joyful, and silly, and walks around like the runs the place, wherever we are! Sometimes I feel like it’s Adeline’s world and we’re all just livin’ in it!

Needless to say, these photos are so special to me, and symbolize such a huge accomplishment/dream/adventure/change, however you want to spell it out. This has been a big year for our little family, but the one thing that has remained constant is us.ย The three musketeers. We’re in it together, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The evening of Adeline’s birthday party, our sister-in-law who’s also a talented photographer, met up with us to snap these photos. I’m not sharing them all right now though because I haven’t decided on our Christmas cards yet! So, here are a few other favorites I couldn’t stand to keep hidden in the meantime!

Happy Friday everyone!

Hahah we call it her “sprig” and it cracks us up. That or pigtails is all she’ll let us do with it! I’m excited to see your final tablescape!

Absolutely love the color of your dress! The black and white ones are my fave. I’m so glad none of your fears came true and that A is happy and thriving!
