I’ll be honest. I always thought matching family jammies were a liiiiittttle lame. Borderline super cheesy. But then we had kids of our own, and the thought of matching fam jams might be my favorite thing ever. We didn’t do matching jammies last year, because it was just A and I was super sick early on in my pregnancy. But, ever since she was born, I have been looking forward to putting our growing family in matching pajamas at Christmas time.
This year is going to be THE year that it finally happens. We’ve got tickets to board the Polar Express just a few days before Christmas and rumor has it that wearing matching fam jams is the way to go! I’m SO excited about this you guys. The Polar Express is my favorite childhood holiday book and A already loves it as well. I can’t wait for her to experience the magic of the Polar Express and I know she’s going to be beside herself with joy. I have a feeling this will be a Christmas memory she holds onto for years and years!
So, in preparing for our departure, I’ve been researching matching family pajamas and it didn’t take long to discover that there are tons of different options out there. There are different styles, different materials, footed vs non-footed, jammies for the dogs, buttons vs no buttons, etc. I’ve narrowed it down to 10 unique and affordable options, and thought I’d share my findings! I stuck to Amazon, Target, and Kohl’s as my sources. If you’re looking to spend a little more, places like Nordstrom or Hanna Andersson also have great options.
We’ve already got the kids Christmas morning jammies, just your basic fleece sibling jammies from Carter’s, and B has already been rocking his on a regular basis. I love this pattern from Carter’s, and I’m pretty sure it’s a pattern they carry year to year. B also has the cutest Burt’s Bee’s candy cane striped pajama jumpsuit, and I’d love to find a matching pair for A, but I’ve found that Burt’s Bee’s jammies sell out quick! At least they do around here!
Here’s my list of 10 family pajama sets – some cheesy, some classic, some basic. I think our favorites are #6 or #10 – the bears or the plaid. Which would you choose?
Have you done matching family jammies? Have you done the Polar Express at Christmas time?
