Happy Halloween, ya’ll!
Popping in real quick to share a SUPER easy “recipe” (if you even want to call it that) for some fun Spider Cookies! I found this on Pinterest yesterday when browsing ideas for my work’s office party today. I’ll admit that I actually discovered this in the car on the way to the gym, and am not sure of the original source for this idea, but I’m sure this isn’t the first time it’s been done!
My husband had a good laugh when he saw the end result, and may or may not have made fun of my cheesiness. I finally convinced him to agree that the cookies were cute, so hopefully you think so too! A lot of my Pinterest recipe attempts actually turn into Pinterest Fails, but I think these actually turned out well! (If they totally look ridiculous, please let me know, and I’ll never make a Pinterest-inspired-lame-kids-recipe ever again.)
This was super easy, and took me about an hour to get them finished! Not too bad!
All you need are Pretzel sticks, Double Stuf Oreos, Frosting/Icing of choice, and M&M’s. How easy is that??
Break the pretzel sticks in halves, then ever so gently stick them into the oreo filling. Apparently spiders actually have 8 legs, but I only went with 6 for these little guys.
I dipped an extra pretzel into the frosting and used that to scoop little dots onto the oreos to stick the M&M’s on for eyes. I think if you used Mini M&M’s, it would look cute if you did several eyes. Since, you know, most spiders have more than 2 eyes. Right? Or maybe that’s only in my nightmares.
They’re not completely lame, are they??
What are your halloween plans? Are you dressing up? Did you make a fun halloween recipe?
Two of our best friends are getting married on Saturday, so tonight we’ll be enjoying their rehearsal dinner. Adam is a groomsman, and I can’t wait to recap the weekend’s festivities! Such a special time when dear, dear friends get married! Adam actually is *partially* responsible for hooking the two love birds up…or at least convincing both of them behind their backs that the other one “totally” likes them. Worked like a charm!
