Easy Guacamole Using Chobani + First Stroller Jog

Sometimes the easiest recipes are the best, and sometimes tweaking those recipes just a hair can make them even better! Before we chat about a MAJOR MILESTONE FOR THIS MAMA, I wanted to share a quick way to add some extra protein into an already delicious snack!

I haven’t always been a greek yogurt lover, in fact, I usually prefer the Chobani Flips that come with chocolate or other yummy mix-ins But, when combined with some of my other favorite ingredients, I’ve discovered a new love for plain jane Chobani.

A few days ago I thought I’d beef up my easy guacamole recipe with some plain greek yogurt, and it turned out wonderfully!

This recipe is perfect for 1-2 people, not too much, and not too little.

You’ll need:

  • 2 avocados
  • 1 small bundle of cilantro
  • 1 small lime
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1 red onion (half)
  • Sea salt
  • Minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup Chobani plain greek yogurt

Dice up all of your ingredients, and get to mixing!

Serve with your favorite tortilla chips, and ta-da!

The greek yogurt makes the dip taste “lighter” overall, almost making it seem fluffier in texture. The flavor isn’t compromised greatly, and you would never know there was greek yogurt in it! If you’re interested in more ways to incorporate greek yogurt, check out Chobani’s recipe page!

Ok, now onto my first postpartum stroller jog!

Yesterday Adeline and I ventured out into the cold for our first stroller jog. Well, we obviously didn’t jog the entire time, but we did jog a large portion of it and for that I am super proud of myself! We even conquered a few hills! I would consider that a major milestone in this former runner’s journey and know I am only starting out.

We kept things simple and headed down the street to one of our favorite trails, and walked/jogged as it felt right. I know in a few months I need to invest a heavier duty jogging stroller, once our outings become a little more intense. But for now, I’m loving our Graco Click Connect Fold Sport travel system, similar HERE.

Running and pushing a stroller is no joke! Major kudos to all those mamas and daddies I see trotting along pushing their TODDLERS! Holy heavy. I can barely push Adeline up our big hill without gasping for air!

One thing is for sure though, I do still love running, and that passion never left. It may feel different right now, and slower for sure, but just moving faster than a walk made my heart oh so happy!

I’m comin’ for ya 5k, whenever that may be! One step at a time.

    Yay, congrats on completing your first postpartum jog! I’m sort of jealous that it’s still nice enough outside, our streets are snow and ice covered now!

    Isn’t it crazy how much can change in a year! You will get your running groove back Mama! I had my little one 7.5 months ago and finally feel like its coming back! I love running pushing my little one, my husband does too. It gets easier!! Keep it up 🙂
