Gimme S’more of That

Last night we had some friends over for Pizza Night and I was in charge of making the dessert. I saw this on a food blog a few weeks ago when I was looking for cast iron recipes, and then again on Pinterest, AND my husband pinned it, so I knew it had to be delicious! Plus, it’s ridiculously easy.

I present to you…Cast Iron S’more Dip

AKA Heaven.

You will need:

-a cast iron skillet
-a large bag of dark chocolate chips
-a bag of large marshmallows
-a sweet tooth X 10

Pour the chocolate chips into the bottom of the cast iron skillet, then add the marshmallows on top, standing up.

Bake in oven at 400* for ~7-8 minutes, or until the ‘mallows are dark golden brown on top.

It was a hit!

And this morning when I woke up, I knew I needed to hit the gym to make up for it. If I told you how much of that dip I ate, you probably wouldn’t believe me. Way too much. But, totally worth it!

I was going to do a 6 or 7 mile long run today, but decided to do more of a mixed workout to torch those ‘mallows that went straight to you know where! Lord knows my arteries needed some clearing out.

Here’s how it went:

Sweat-tastic. I tried out one of my StrideBox goodies as well, and I’m officially a fan! I guess that means their marketing plan worked?

The nogii protein bite was so good! It tasted like a little chocolate rice-krispy! The little guy had 8 grams of protein, and 120 cals.

Saturday night the same friends came back over for a venison cookout, and I spent some time with our life group from church at a gender reveal party! Babies galore could be the theme of 2014!

A successful Saturday for sure!

And side note, if you like my lace headband, there is brown velvet on the opposite side, doesn’t slip, and is a momo band! You can use the code “sweetmiles” on their website between now and Jan 31 and get 25% off your order! This is one of their newest styles, so I’m not sure if it’s listed yet. I’ll be hosting a giveaway next week.

**The WINNER of the Perfect Pocket giveaway is Heather! Heather, I’ll be emailing you details!**

I love how you have the recipe to make the smore dip and a workout to burn it off! Never thought of making it on the stovetop. I’ve wanted to try a subscription box, but am unsure if I would like it. Glad to hear you’re enjoying yours!

Those nogii bars were in my Bulu box this month too! I haven’t tried it yet though. Been contemplating switching my monthly box to the stride box instead of Bulu since you had talked about it and it is geared FOR runners…

Nikki- I really liked the nogii bar!! Next time I come across them I want to buy a pack. I don’t know much about Bulu box, but do like Stridebox since it’s running specific for the most part 🙂
