Blue Diamond Almonds – New Honey Flavors!

*This post is sponsored by Blue Diamond Almonds. I received their product free of compensation in exchange for my honest review.*

Today we’re chatting about something very near and dear to my heart: snacking!

As someone who is active on a pretty regular basis, I just can’t get through the day on three meals alone. I like to eat, what can I say?? If I don’t eat enough throughout the day, I know I won’t make it through a workout later that night, not to mention my odds of getting a headache and falling into a bad mood are skyrocketed! I’ve found that if I plan ahead, and have snacks readily available throughout my day, no matter what my schedule is, I feel better in general. In fact, my desk drawer at work is typically packed with snacks!

I hate the feeling of low blood sugar more than anything, and no one wants to feel weak and sluggish from not eating. However, keeping those snacks healthy and smart can be where the real challenge lies, but luckily, the folks over at Blue Diamond have figured this little dilemma out! Their cans of honey roasted almonds are delicious, high in protein to keep you satisfied with just a handful, and boast plenty of health benefits such as lowering your cholesterol and reducing your risk of heart disease. And don’t be fooled by the high amount of fat, it’s actually GOOD fat! They’ve recently released their newest line of almonds, flavored with honey, and I was ecstatic to test them out! Feast your eyes on these tasty treats…

Blue Diamond Almonds – Honey Roasted Chipotle and Honey Roasted Vanilla

The two flavors I was sent specifically are the Honey Roasted Chipotle and Honey Roasted Vanilla. I naturally gravitated more towards the Chipotle flavor, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the Vanilla as well!

Did you know…almonds are the only crop that is 100% dependent on honey bees for the pollination of its crops? If you’re interested in reading more about how Blue Diamond is working with honeybees, head on over to their honey products page.

The Honey Roasted Chipotle have a fantastic flavor, and ya’ll, I could probably eat the entire can in one sitting! Please don’t anyone actually do that, but they really are that good! They’re perfect to add in salads for a little kick, especially. And I’ve become a fan of popping a handful of these before I head out for a run, or even a hike, just for a little extra energy.

The Honey Roasted Vanilla are much sweeter, and are a great alternative for when you’ve got a hankerin’ for something! I’ve been keeping this can in my car for when I just NEED something sweet, OR, when I’m driving home from work and just can’t wait until dinner. Word to the wise though, you won’t be able to eat just one. The vanilla flavor would also be delicious mixed into oatmeal or yogurt!

Ooooh….I’ve been wanting to try out the Honey Roasted Vanilla almonds myself. Plus I’m a huge supporter of their Save the Bees campaign they are doing right now.

I’m not biased or anything, but the Honey Vanilla by far are my favorite. I’ve eaten those until I gave myself a stomach ache, seriously! Glad BDG reached out to you and that you liked them! Heart healthy and delicious, doesn’t get much better than that (in my book). xoxo, ganeeban

Honey Chipotle are my addiction. I bought a can a month ago, but haven’t opened it yet for fear of devouring the entire thing. They are also great to coat chicken with when baking.
