AMRAP Bars Review and Giveaway

I am always on the hunt for protein bars that are A. delicious and B. made with ingredients I can actually pronounce! More often than not I find a new protein bar to try that looks like it would be amazing, sounds oh so promising, only to actually taste like cardboard. I’ve bitten into my fair share of protein bars and taken one bite, then thrown the rest away because it literally tasted nothing like how it said it would. Anyone else ever experience that? Definitely a buzz kill! When I received the AMRAP bars, I had high hopes that these would live up to my high expectations and match all of the great things I had heard about them! And the verdict was? Delicious! My husband and I each tried all three flavors, and were quite impressed! Seriously ya’ll…these are pretty good!

Here’s a little info about the company…

“AMRAP creates food that is 100% Paleo, gluten-free, GMO-free, dairy-free, and unprocessed. Raw whole foods, like almond chunks, are a top priority in our bars because we know from experience it is clean fuel that feeds our bodies’ daily activity the best. Our bars have an optimal research-based combination of good proteins and carbs for well-rounded athletes. Recommended for a meal supplement or replacement, and especially a pre or post-workout snack.”

AMRAP’s mission statement:
“As Many Rounds As Possible (AMRAP) defines our philosophy. Through determination, intensity, and focus, we aim to inspire and empower our community to reach their full health and fitness potential. Join us and together we will change the world.”

AMRAP just released three new flavors: cashew & vanilla, fig & cacao, and almond & honey.

Cashew & vanilla is probably my favorite!

Each bar has 12-15g of protein!

The texture is more chewy, as opposed to very crunchy, and the flavors are all very distinct. All of the ingredients are listed out, and you’d be hard pressed to find something you didn’t recognize. And more than likely, you probably already snack on most of these ingredients anyway! Things like honey, sesame seeds, and even cinnamon are about as complicated as it gets.

When it comes to your training regimen and diet, eating as clean as possible is the best way to go, and you don’t want to sacrifice your hard work by eating protein bars and energy bars that are anything but clean.

I think you will definitely want to add these to your “must have” list for healthy snacking, and for an energy boost before a big workout. I know for my marathon training, I’m going to have to order me a few more of these to keep on hand!

They’ve also got a pretty awesome promo video up on You Tube right now, so be sure and head on over and check it out before you leave!

Alright peeps, ready to win a box full of these protein bars? Enter below! Contest ends a week from tomorrow, on September 11. GO!

I’ve never heard of these bars before, but they sound great! Are they similar to Larabars in texture (they look like it)?

I would guess yes, I’ve only had one mini larabar and it was real quick after a race one time! So maybe??

I’ve been on the AMRAP bandwagon since day 1. I took the plunge on their first bar back in 2012 and was blown away with how great it was. I got everyone in my family hooked on them and my parents even have them on auto ship through Amazon. I can’t wait to get their new flavors, I’m certain they won’t disappoint.

More than their great taste, though the company has fantastic customer service. I have two quick stories to share. First, my parents auto ship was messed up one month and so they emailed AMRAP asking what was up. Within minutes an individual, not a generic email address, responded with a sincere apology and offered a free box of bars and t shirt for the trouble. Second, prior to their release of these new bars they had a free sampler offer which I eagerly signed up for. A month later I still hadn’t received it so I just emailed them asking about it. Again, within minutes I received a personal apology and a coupon code for half off a full box of their new bars. They’ve got a customer for life in me because of their wonderful product but more so due to their personal approach to handling even the smallest problems that arise.

Agreed!! It makes me nervous when I see an ingredient list full of things I can’t pronounce!
