Just popping in real quick to share Adeline’s nursery prints! I don’t have them framed and hung or anything, but they have all been ordered! I’d consider that to be a success! I thought I’d share, in case any of you fellow moms-to-be were still searching for that perfect one.
This week I’m expecting our glider AND crib to arrive, so I can’t wait for this weekend when they will be put together and officially in the nursery. Adam’s parents are coming to stay with us this weekend, so the boys will be busy building furniture. I’ll share which of each we’ve ordered in just a bit. I also ordered her bedding yesterday from Pottery Barn Baby, so I’m anxious for that to come in as well, and I’m hoping I love it as much in person as I do on their website!
For her prints, I wanted to stick with a sort of, wilderness/natural yet still girly theme and I think I’ve done just that. I really wanted to limit the majority of the animal prints to animals that are more forest-y. Also, Adam and I both grew up loving the outdoors and playing outside, and hope that Adeline will too! Here are the ones I’ve gathered:
5 x 7 bear and baby deer watercolor painting. How precious is this?? I just thought it was so sweet.
And ya’ll know I LOVE the Animal Print Shop, so I had to order at least one of her prints. We decided on the baby raccoon, although the baby fox and baby deer were close seconds.
“Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will move mountains.” I love the colors in this, and the pink and green are what the accent colors in the nursery will be.
Adam and I both fell in love with this one as soon as we found it on Etsy. We’ve both got this thing for foxes, so needless to say Adeline already has a couple fox stuffed animals.
Animal alphabet print. I found this on Etsy as well, and loved that even though it’s whimsical, it’s still rustic and old-timey feeling. I also just really love the llama for L and the yak for Y!
And of course her monogram name print. You’ve already seen this on Instagram.
All of these prints will probably be part of a large collage, and I’ll be incorporating a few smaller things into the collage as well. Including, the white moose head, maybe another ‘A’, or some fun hanging tassels. Not sure yet. I’m leaning towards doing all white frames, but I’ve seen some nursery collages with silver, gold, white, and other mixed frames that turned out cute. We’ll see. I’d still like to find a sweet Bible verse print, but I can’t decide what verse.
As for her crib and glider, here is what we went with:
Jenny Lind 3-in-1 Convertible Crib, White
Stork Craft Glider and Ottoman – Amazon, Cherry & Beige
And here is her bedding, both are from Pottery Barn Baby. It took me forever to decide on bedding, mainly because there are SO many different options and styles. I wanted something simple, clean, classic, and quiet. As opposed to something too bold, too colorful, or just complex. I’m not doing bumpers for now, but later if I decide to I’ll probably order a pink one to match the sheet. Her crib skirt will match her white ruffle curtains, and the pink in the sheet should match her changing pad cover perfectly.
I think that about wraps it up! I can’t wait until it starts coming together. Adam’s next project will be to build her changing table/future bookshelf, and I know it will turn out wonderfully. We are also waiting on my parents to bring my big armoire from my old bedroom, so once we have that, that will complete her furniture.
Can’t wait to share the room once it’s completed and all put together!
