Sorry for the hiatus this weekend, sometimes you just need to “unplug”! I did have a fantastic weekend though, and if you follow me on Instagram, you saw the gist of it! But if you don’t here’s a quick recap:
I drove home this weekend for one of my best friend’s bridal showers, and was reunited with my loves. Allyson had a wonderful shower, and looked so very happy!
In the meantime, Adam was digging out of our house from the Snowpocolyse that hit Little Rock on Friday night.
I went shopping with my mom, and picked out a potential new pair of glasses. The cutest frames are always so expensive!
We had dinner with my brother and sister in law, and it might be the last time we all eat as a family of 6! (assuming if Adam had been there) Baby Henry will be arriving sometime in the next THREE weeks!
That’s about it. A pretty successful weekend if you ask me. I’ll be back in Nashville this upcoming weekend for the Hot Chocolate 15K! Assuming my hamstring cooperates. I went to the gym tonight and did 3.5 miles on the treadmill before I felt something not right with my hamstring again and left to come home and ice it. Fingers crossed it’s nothing! I felt back to normal for the first 3.5, but I walked for a second and then bumped up the speed to test out more of a sprint and immediately felt something pull that did not feel good. Ugh! But, my confidence is back up that I haven’t fallen out of shape, and kept a good (for me) pace of 8:49, 8:49, 8:34, and was working towards an 8:00 when I felt my hamstring twinge again. Adam keeps reminding me that I did run a marathon 6 weeks ago and it probably DID destroy my body more than I think it did. He’s probably right. Ha!
Active by Old Navy Spring Wish List
While my mom and I were out shopping, I noticed that Old Navy has their spring line out! Or at the very least, there were lots of bright, happy colors and I’m calling that their spring line! There’s nothing more inspiring and motivational than a cute workout outfit. I picked out another pullover top, and two tank tops, but there were so many other cute things! I’ve been so impressed with GapFit, and the one pullover I have from Active by Old Navy I LOVE. I thought I’d share some of my pics for this spring’s cute workout attire! Plus, you can’t beat the price!
Here are the items we purchased:
It has a really thin stripe pattern, and I couldn’t get over this pretty mint/aqua/green color!
Close up of the stripes in action.
And in real life:
These tanks are flowy and soft, and I love the racerback style. There is plenty of venting on the back, so you’re sure to cool off fast! Clearly, I’m loving mint lately, but they come in about 5,000 different colors.
In real life:
I’m anxious for the weather to get warmer so I can start running outside more! Of course, tanks are great for indoor workouts at the gym too because Lord knows how HOT it always is!
Here are a few items you guys might think are cute and I’m thinking might be must-haves for this spring! All are very affordable for those of you whose running drawer might already be spilling over. Check them out!
