Active by Old Navy Wish List

Hi friends!

Sorry for the hiatus this weekend, sometimes you just need to “unplug”! I did have a fantastic weekend though, and if you follow me on Instagram, you saw the gist of it! But if you don’t here’s a quick recap:

I drove home this weekend for one of my best friend’s bridal showers, and was reunited with my loves. Allyson had a wonderful shower, and looked so very happy!

In the meantime, Adam was digging out of our house from the Snowpocolyse that hit Little Rock on Friday night.

I went shopping with my mom, and picked out a potential new pair of glasses. The cutest frames are always so expensive!

We had dinner with my brother and sister in law, and it might be the last time we all eat as a family of 6! (assuming if Adam had been there) Baby Henry will be arriving sometime in the next THREE weeks!

That’s about it. A pretty successful weekend if you ask me. I’ll be back in Nashville this upcoming weekend for the Hot Chocolate 15K! Assuming my hamstring cooperates. I went to the gym tonight and did 3.5 miles on the treadmill before I felt something not right with my hamstring again and left to come home and ice it. Fingers crossed it’s nothing! I felt back to normal for the first 3.5, but I walked for a second and then bumped up the speed to test out more of a sprint and immediately felt something pull that did not feel good. Ugh! But, my confidence is back up that I haven’t fallen out of shape, and kept a good (for me) pace of 8:49, 8:49, 8:34, and was working towards an 8:00 when I felt my hamstring twinge again. Adam keeps reminding me that I did run a marathon 6 weeks ago and it probably DID destroy my body more than I think it did. He’s probably right. Ha!

Active by Old Navy Spring Wish List

While my mom and I were out shopping, I noticed that Old Navy has their spring line out! Or at the very least, there were lots of bright, happy colors and I’m calling that their spring line! There’s nothing more inspiring and motivational than a cute workout outfit. I picked out another pullover top, and two tank tops, but there were so many other cute things! I’ve been so impressed with GapFit, and the one pullover I have from Active by Old Navy I LOVE. I thought I’d share some of my pics for this spring’s cute workout attire! Plus, you can’t beat the price!

Here are the items we purchased:

Quarter Zip Jacket, $26.94

oldnavyactivequarterzip

It has a really thin stripe pattern, and I couldn’t get over this pretty mint/aqua/green color!

And in real life:

2014-02-10_001

Semi-Fitted Tanks, $12.00-14.95

oldnavyactivesemifittedtankgoldfish

oldnavyactivesemifittedtankmint

These tanks are flowy and soft, and I love the racerback style. There is plenty of venting on the back, so you’re sure to cool off fast! Clearly, I’m loving mint lately, but they come in about 5,000 different colors.

In real life:

I’m anxious for the weather to get warmer so I can start running outside more! Of course, tanks are great for indoor workouts at the gym too because Lord knows how HOT it always is!

Here are a few items you guys might think are cute and I’m thinking might be must-haves for this spring! All are very affordable for those of you whose running drawer might already be spilling over. Check them out!

1. Adjustable Strap Sports Bra in Magic Mint, $16.50

2. 2-in-1 Tanks in Raspberry Punch, $19.94

3. Mesh Top, $14.94

4. Printed Compression Capris, $29.94

5. Slim Boot Cut Yoga Pants, $19.94

You look so cute in those glasses! The frames may be worth the splurge! 😉 Old Navy and Target are my favorite stores for budget friendly, but still cute activewear! Loving the items you purchased!

Jana- Haha thanks!! I don’t think I ever realized, before I started running seriously, that there were CUTE workout clothes…I cringe at the thought of what a hot mess I used to look like at the gym! Shorts and a COTTON T-SHIRT! Gasp! 🙂

Yes, I also love the active wear by Old Navy. I usually am not a big fan of Old Navy because their real clothes aren’t the best quality but so far I have not had a problem with their workout clothes. They are super cute for the price! I’m also loving the mint color! Good luck at the Hot Chocolate race!

Meranda- I think sometimes they can be hit or miss on their real clothes, I’ve actually good luck so far! And definitely impressed with their active line! Glad you haven’t either! Mint should have been Pantone’s color of the year I think, instead of whatever fushia they picked out 🙂

So cute to have a new baby in the family! 3 weeks will fly by. I feel like everyone is getting bombarded with snow, we’re getting another storm this Thursday! I kind of can’t wait for Spring to arrive:) I always check out ON’s active wear and it seems like good clothes, I am going to get a new running wardrobe once I get the A-OK from my Dr post baby. So excited to get back into running!

I love ON’s Active stuff. It’s pretty decent quality for the price, and they have some nice patterns/colors. I have their compression leggings I got over a year ago and they’re still wearing really well!

I loooove Old Navy workout clothes. Everything is just so comfy and also quite affordable, which I love. I also like their “Perfect Tanks” and usually pair them with some yoga capris when I work out.

I love old navy workout gear! I have a pair of black capri yoga pants from there that I got probably like 6 years ago… they’re a little stretched out but still going strong! I love everything you picked out- I need to stay away from that store or else I’m going to go on a shopping spree!

I don’t know if it’s vanity sizing or what but nothing fits me at most retailers. I can wear H&M and lululemon for activewear, but a double zero anywhere else has me swimming in fabric (and I’m not overly tiny).

Stefanie- Nope! I understand! Companies are making things so different now and it’s hard to find a consistent sizing anywhere!!

You should totally splurge on the glasses because you’ll be much more likely to wear a pair you like and look good in – I hate hate mine (and yes they were cheap) and I never wear them, at least not outside of my house!
