I’m back! I feel like I’ve been away from the blog for way too long. Okay, two days isn’t THAT long, but it’s my baby right now and I feel like I majorly neglected it. Before I get too deep into this post, I wanted to announce who the Sweat Pink Shoelace Winners are!!!!!
Kylie, Sara, and Jenn From Wynne!!! If I can’t find your email, I will find another way to contact you and get your mailing information from you! YAY for pink shoelaces!!!! I now give you each permission to rub it in your non-pink-shoelace-running-friends faces that you will be looking sexier than they are.
I didn’t have time today to respond to your comment’s on my last post, but fear not, I will get there! I’m thankful for you even taking time to comment, let alone just reading! Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya.
Today’s workout was a short and sweet one. The weather was less than ideal, so I took the Truckles for a 1.3 mile walk around the ‘hood. The neighborhood. She’s almost got the back flip down pat when I say, “want to go for a walk?” And when she completes one, I will take a video, watch it go viral overnight, and instantly become a millionaire.
If you followed along with my travels, this weekend my husband and I made the trip to Oklahoma City to visit our brother and sister in law’s new baby boy! He was born last Wednesday, cute as a button, and healthy as can be. I posted an Instagram photo of our meeting, but in case you missed it…
BAM! Check that baby out. A-dorable. I’m in love. He makes our 5th niece/nephew, so needless to say our love is overflowing! We’re so thankful we live within driving distance of everyone, so making weekend trips to love on our little munchkins is easy peasy! I posted some photos of them bringing baby home over on the photog blog, so feel free to check them out! They mainly just make me realize how special these moments are, and I can’t wait to experience it myself! One day…far away. But until then, I will just look into these beautiful eyes and love him to pieces!
Ah, doesn’t a REAL photo just feel like a breathe of fresh air? iphone pictures are starting to wear me out.
Before we left, I received a happy, happy, happy package in the mail! The pink Pro Compression socks I had to exchange finally arrived! I absolutely can not wait to get in a long run and test these bad boys out! If it hadn’t been rainy and poopy here today I would have set out to do so, but the thunder and lightning kept us indoors. We gave them to Truckee to hold for a second, and the look on her face was priceless. “Am I really allowed to have socks in my mouth right now, guys?” What a goob.
My next endeavor at the house is to find a colorful, and functional area run for the living room. We’ve done some rearranging, and now there’s a huge patch of exposed hardwood. It’s not terrible, in fact I love our hardwood floors, but I’m trying to keep Truckee from sliding all over the place, and there’s an existing stain in the middle of this open area, AND I’m feeling the need to add some more color to our otherwise mostly brown house. I found the two pictured below online at Target. They are both under $100 for a large size, but I can’t decide if they would feel too summery once it’s fall. Thoughts? Which would you pick?
We have dark chocolate brown couches, a rock fireplace, brown mantel, chocolate brown window shades, and chocolate brown wood bookshelves and entertainment center. For reference. And my kitchen is a pretty blueish-turqoise-greyblue-ish color. But that sounds kind of tacky, but I promise it’s not.
I do believe that about wraps up this lazy Monday evening post. Not too much going on around here, well, there is, but I’ll update you on that another time. Maybe tomorrow? We’ll see what kind of mood I’m in 🙂
Which rug do you like best? Do you know any awesome cheap websites to order area rugs from? Of the following types of posts, which would you most like me to work on posting more of– crafts/recipes, daily ramblings, Truckee happenings, photography tips, or blogging tips?
K, Go! If you don’t usually comment, you should this time, I’m really hoping for some feedback so I know you will enjoy reading Sweet Miles more!
I actually just finished reading a great post over on Presley’s blog about not trying to hard to fit into the “blogger” molds. Check it out over at Run Pretty!
