Happy Monday! This weekend was one for the baby books and I’m so glad we made it happen. My brother and sister-in-law flew down to visit us and meet baby Barrett for the first time and I think it’s safe to say my heart tank is full. There’s just something extra special about your siblings meeting your babies and loving on them, and it’s indescribable joy watching your babies love them right back. (Adeline is slightly obsessed with my brother!)
We spent the weekend showing them around town, and introducing them to our new life in Texas, something I’ve been dying to do for over a year now. Adeline had the time of her life playing with her aunt and uncle and it was the cutest thing ever. Barrett slept through most of the weekend, but no doubt enjoyed some extra snuggles and kisses.
To cap off the weekend, we went to church together yesterday morning. Sometimes I wonder if we’re making the right decisions, or being good parents, but then Adeline throws me the sweetest curve ball ever and reminds me that we’re doing a-ok. Last night before bed she grabbed Barrett’s baby Bible and opened it and said, “God loves baby Barrett.” I just about fell out of my chair onto the floor in a puddle of tears.
Here’s a quick photo dump of our weekend, mainly for my own sake. We are beyond thankful and blessed! Our next visitors are my parents and I can’t. stinkin’. wait.
And in case you were wondering what level of sass we’re currently living at:
This girl, ya’ll. She’s a hoot.
I’ll be back tomorrow with my newborn must-haves for baby #2!
