A Promise to Adeline + DIY Pallet Wood Footprint Sign

This post is sponsored by #Pampers & #Walmart as part of their #MothersPromise campaign. All opinions are my own.

When I think about what I want for Adeline, I can hardly put my finger on one specific thing. I want the world for Adeline, and I want to be able to provide for her the very best and give her the tools to accomplish her wildest dreams. I want her to know that she can accomplish anything she puts her mind to. I want her to love God with all her heart, mind, and soul, and seek Him everyday. Above all though, I want to make a promise to show her unconditional love, just like how God promises to love her. I want her to always feel special, and to never question her worth. I want her to know that she will always be loved, no matter what. I never knew what unconditional love really meant until I had a child of my own. I want her to be raised in a loving home, and in return, I want her to love others, and love herself. I want her to understand how much her dad and I love each other, and to always give her an example of love to look up to.

Today I’m partnering up with Pampers and Walmart to share my #MothersPromise I’ve made to Adeline. And to help me remember it, we made a fun craft together to hang in our home. All three of us got involved! Check it out…

First I had Adam make a simple wood canvas for me using leftover pallet wood in the garage. He also screwed on additional wood strips for mounting it on the wall, and sanded the entire thing down as smooth as possible.

Then, using non-toxic acrylic paint, we painted Adeline’s feet and “stamped” them on the wood. We quickly wiped the paint off her feet so she wouldn’t get it on her hands or in her mouth.

Next, I painted the rest of the word “Love” around the footprints, which created the “V”.

Final product!

It didn’t turn out exactly how I’d imagined it, but it’s still pretty cute! I greatly underestimated how much room her feet would take up on the wood. We also spaced her feet apart too much, but I figure it’s just added character since it’s not totally perfect! Who knew getting footprints from a 5 month old wouldn’t turn out perfectly??

Speaking of love, I’ve been showing Adeline’s chubby booty some extra love lately as well! Pampers Premium Care Diapers are top-tier high quality diapers with a 5 star skin rating. Ya’ll know I’m all about using the best skincare on Adeline, and these diapers are no exception.
