A Perfect Pocket: Review & Giveaway

Happy Tuesday!

Hopefully you survived your Monday, and things are looking up!

Today I have a fun, brand new product that I want to share with all of you! I’ve been holding onto this post for about a month now, and finally got it all ready to publish.

Introducing, A Perfect Pocket.

When Lesley first contacted me about sampling her product, I honestly thought maybe it was scam! A pocket, that you peel and stick on your body? What? I went to their website, and was actually blown away by what a clever idea it was! Why didn’t I think of that?? I had never seen anything like it, and could count dozens of times where I wished I had known about this pocket! I told her I would gladly review her Perfect Pocket, and within just a few days my sample had arrived on my doorstep!

A Perfect Pocket “is a single use water resistant pocket that sticks safely and securely to your skin.” It is for one time use, and can stick for up to 24 hours. The adhesive is hypoallergenic and safe for your skin.

In the directions, they recommend placing it on clean, dry skin, and preferably on the upper thigh, stomach, back, or arm. Once the perfect pocket is in place, then slide in your i.d., credit card, money, etc!

Imagine if you were needing to go on a long walk with your dog and didn’t have any pockets but needed to put your car key somewhere. Or if you were going to a concert and didn’t want to carry a purse. Or going on a long run and you needed to carry some cash with you to stop and buy a water. Whatever the scenario, the perfect pocket really is a great solution to holding your lightweight valuables and freeing up your hands. AND you can hide the perfect pocket so no one will know you have money on you! If the typical running belts don’t work for you, this might be a solution!

Here is my experience with it:

I chose to test it out on my thigh for a run up our street.

I carefully peeled the backing off, and placed it just at my short line.

Easy peasy.

Then I tested it.

A Perfect Pocket stayed on for my run! It held my credit card and driver’s license like a champ.

The only downside I saw was this: I don’t think I had it placed in an optimal place on my thigh because a corner of it kept wanting to un-peel slightly. Probably my fault though. Next time I will try it on my back or stomach, or more on the front of my thigh.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an easy, concealed way to carry your lightweight belongings with you on an adventure!

Lucky for YOU, the sweet ladies over at A Perfect Pocket have offered to giveaway a pack of FOUR Perfect Pockets to one of my readers!

Here’s the deal:

1. Become a fan of A Perfect Pocket on Facebook

2. Leave a comment telling me why you would find a Perfect Pocket helpful!

Contest ends Saturday, January 18.

Thanks again, Lesley and Lois, for sending me your Perfect Pocket to test out!

What do you think? Is this something you would be interested in using?

Actually, I was thinking this would have been perfect for our trip for Vienna. I had a little silk pocket that I kept some extra cash and a copy of my passport in for emergencies – this would have been just as convenient and a little less awkward, as my silk pocket was attached to my underwear. 😉

I liked you on FB and perfect pocket as well!

Again, another contest I need to enter 😉

I have one of the “wrist pockets” that my mother bought me for my birthday but there is one fatal flaw…. its too big for my tiny wrists and it is a winter accessory that fits underneath a long sleeved shirt and would defeat the purpose of concealing it during the summer because it would show (aka making me a target for robbers). I have seen cyclists use a similar product that does not stick to skin but shows a lot of usefulness, I would love to try the Perfect Pocket!

Questions: Does the glue/sticky continue to stick even when you sweat?

Hayley- Hahaha. Love it. I didn’t “sweat” enough testing it out, but if you watch the video on their website apparently it sticks pretty well! And it didn’t hurt when I peeled it off…of course my legs were shaved ha, but it wasn’t like ripping off a band-aid or anything!

That is the most interesting invention ever. I’m super intrigued! It seems like it would be super uncomfortable to stick and peel off… and have your skin move underneath. But it is probably great for traveling and hiding your money etc!

For some reason this product has me giggling uncontrollably, probably because the first place I would think to try it would be on my face, like an idiot. But really, this is such an intuitive idea for all kinds of situations.

This is a perfect waterproof place to keep my car key dry while I run. I usually leave the key and just bring the fob with me. I stick it in my waistband pocket or tie it to my shoelace, but I’m always afraid it’s going to get sweat/rain soaked and not work when I get back to the car. I would love to try this!

I actually think I’d use this the most on bike rides. I end up sticking my keys in my shoe or hoping to not loose them in the kids’ bike trailer. This seems like a better upgrade to my current situation. 🙂

I haven’t ever heard of these before, but they make me really happy just as a general concept! I have to carry a room key and an ID card to get into my dorm so I always need workout gear that has pockets (or else I put it in my sports bra, which gets gross). While I’ve found that most winter gear has good pockets, summer gear does not. So wearing this would not only add a level of security, but it would save me from having to pull a sweaty key out of a sports bra!

This would come in SOOO handy for races! I normally stick my phone,ID,etc in a baggie in my sports bra but this would be so much easier!

I like them on Facebook. I think it’d be so nice to be hands free! I hate running without money for fear something happens, but hate carrying keys and money!
