3 Year Bloggi-versary: My Favorite Posts

It’s hard to believe that this week, 3 years ago, I started Sweet Miles on a whim because I was so incredibly bored at my job. I needed a creative outlet to get me through the day, and I needed a way to document my running without sharing it on my photography business blog. I’d blogged in the past, but had never made a commitment to really blog. We were living in a new state, I hated my current job, I was really getting into running, and after reading several other healthy living blogs, I decided I could do this.

And here we are, 3 years later!

I’ve shared so many great memories on my blog with all of you, and I’m so honored that people actually READ it! And even better, some people actually take the time to COMMENT on it! WHAT?! Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe it!

Craziness.

I thought I’d recap my favorite past blog posts, and share some highlights! It has been a blessed 3 years, if I had to pick one word. Looking back through my old posts, it’s evident that my blog has evolved, and gone through some major changes. I also feel like I have grown and evolved, and I almost don’t recognize myself through the words of some of my older posts, and a part of me misses that person. It’s almost like as we go through life changes, we grieve our “past life.” I guess that’s because now I’m in mommy mode, but I sure miss being so carefree, and so devoted to running. I’d always heard that having a baby changes all aspects of your life, and your priorities, and I could not agree more. I’m so glad I’ve documented so much through this blog – it’s definitely become a scrapbook of sorts!

While I haven’t tried to make Sweet Miles a “mommy blog” on purpose, it does revolve a lot more around Adeline now, and navigating the waters of first time motherhood, while still trying to stay active when time allows. In other words, I try to keep it real on Sweet Miles. Some readers have stuck around, some new readers have come along, and some have moved on, and that’s just the nature of a lifestyle blog. It’s my life, and more often than not I blog about what’s most on my heart in whatever season I’m in. “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven” -Ecclesiastes 3:1

Sweet Miles has gone through many seasons over the past 3 years, and I’m happy to look back through them! I can’t even imagine what the next 3 years are going to hold.

Happy Blogiversary, and happy belated first Mother’s Day! Isn’t it incredible what these blogs can do for us? Recapture our lives, remind us of the good, the bad, and the deliciously ugly 😀

Happy blogiversary, lady! I completely agree with you about not recognizing my former blog self in some of the early years posts. I also miss when my blog was just a day to day journal of my workouts and food before I was self-hosted. It’s crazy how much a blog can evolve and come into its own!

Thanks girlfriend! I totally agree, I feel weird reading some of my older posts, and sometimes I wish I knew then what I know now, if that makes sense!

Ahh this is awesome! Happy bloggiversary:) Reading this made me so happy that I started a blog several months ago. I want to be able to document my life in a creative way and have the ability to look back at it exactly like this. I think it’s so cool to see how life changes in just a few short years!

Congratulations! That is such an awesome milestone. I just started blogging this week and I hope to see 3 years strong! I am most inspired to read about every day life on blogs. I love finding things I can relate to and learn from. It’s what helped me get into blogging in the first place. I hope to interest people and maybe help them learn a little bit me along the way!

Happy Anniversary! I’m a blogger too, and I think it’s so cool to look back at old posts and see how much I’ve grown and how much my site has changed over the years!
