My 2014 Christmas Playlist + Spotify Link!

It’s that time of year again! Actually, it was that time of year again about 3 weeks ago. The time of year when listening to Christmas music ’round the clock is perfectly acceptable!

There’s just something about Christmas music that puts everyone in a jolly mood, and adds a pep to their step. This year I’ve used my trusty friend, Spotify, to gather some of my favorites, as well as some tunes I grew up listening to around my parent’s house. I’ve also decided that there’s really only 10 Christmas songs, but 15 different versions of each! I think we heard 3 different versions of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on the way home from work tonight!

Here is my current Christmas music playlist, hopefully you’ll enjoy it! It’s a good eclectic mix of some original versions, and a few alternative and more modern songs, with a nice cool-down at the end. I think my favorite song that’s been re-done a million times might either be Last Christmas or Happy Xmas (war is over). Such oldies but goodies!

If you don’t want to mess with downloading or finding these songs, here’s my playlist!

Oh, and one more thing! Truckee wanted to send each of my readers a Christmas card, but I told her that would be too expensive. So, she settled for this instead.

What would you add? What is your favorite Christmas song? When do you start listening to Christmas music?

Of course I’d include at least one Rudolph song 🙂 I would have totally included the entire soundtrack!

I just heard Michael Buble’s version of “All I Want for Christmas” yesterday actually and (dare I say) like it better than the original maybe…
And yes to Sufjan! I love his Christmas album so much.

I feel like anything Buble does could possibly trump any existing version 😉 So glad you like Sufjan too! He’s so chill and different!

Ah, making my Christmas playlist is one of my favorite things to do in the holiday season! I love all of the classics, but I would add “A New York Christmas” by Rob Thomas. A little nontraditional, but makes me think of New York City around Christmastime. 🙂

Great list. Lots of my favorites are there. I am not a fan of Christmas CDs so I just pile all my favs on a youtube playlist.

Ok, so I literally laughed our loud when you referred to Last Christmas and Happy Christmas (War is Over) as oldies but goodies! Those came out when I was in high school! 🙂 I love your playlist and I agree, listening to Christmas music does so much to lift your mood and get you into the Christmas spirit. My favorite is the Carpenters Christmas Collection. I love their version of Ava Maria!

I’m so over Christmas music because that’s all I hear at work, and I’m over it.
But I do love Mariah Carey’s All I want for christmas.
