2013: A Year in Review

Happy Friday everyone! We’re at that perfect time of year, right after Christmas, but right before we take on a brand new year. It’s definitely a bitter sweet time, looking back at all that I’ve accomplished in 2013, but anxiously awaiting things to come in 2014. I’ve got big plans, big dreams, and lots of goals for myself. Today I wanted to take a walk down memory lane, and appreciate all that 2013 blessed me with!

First, here are a couple family photos from when we were in Texas last weekend. We took the traditional “we’re all finally together in one place” Ingle family photo, and I had my sister-in-law take a quickie of me and Adam.

2013 Blessings, Memories, Accomplishments, and Favorite Posts

-In January, my cousin Autumn delivered a beautiful, healthy, baby girl. I can’t wait to watch her grow. Kyleigh is adorable!

-In February, Adam and I flew to St. Louis for a fun weekend together! Our memories can be summed up as: IT WAS FREEZING.

-In March, my niece Layla turned TWO! Layla is the definition of party girl! I cannot believe it’s almost time for her to be three!!

-In March, I PR’d my half marathon time and got hooked on serious running. I discovered that I COULD run faster if I just TRIED, and that challenging myself was one of the greatest feelings. I PR’d my half marathon time again on October 26, 2013.

-In May I ran my first official 10K. I LOVED racing this distance!

-I started Sweet Miles on May 8, 2013. Best decision ever. I had no idea how much fun it would be, how many “blogging friends” I would meet, and that I would get to work with some pretty cool companies. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2014! I have some fun ones coming up, be sure and check back!

-Adam and I celebrated our FIRST ANNIVERSARY of marriage together with a long weekend trip to Beaver Lake, Arkansas in June, where we stayed in the sweetest little cabin you ever saw!

-I PR’d my 5K time on July 4th. It was an almost all-downhill course, so I’m still determined to run the same time or better on a flat course!

-My 5th nephew/niece was born in July as well, Justus Mitchell. Cute as can be!!

-In late July we also found out my sister-in-law on my side of the family was expecting! Little boy Pence is due sometime in early March, 2014!

-In September, my other cousin Ambre, delivered a beautiful, healthy baby girl as well! I have yet to meet Josie, but from what I’ve seen she’s precious! Just like her momma!

-Also in September, I got a new job!!!

-Truckee turned ONE in September.

-My nephew Rhett turned FOUR in September.

-In October, we spent 5 days at my favorite place on earth with my side of the family. St. George Island is FULL of special memories

-My nephew Jack turned THREE in October.

-Adam celebrated his 25th birthday in October.

-In November, we celebrated our one year anniversary of owning our first home!

-In December, my niece Maggie turned TWO.

-In December I trained for my first marathon. Then it was cancelled. Talk about learning to deal with disappointment!

-I finally ran my first marathon at the end of December. (As of Saturday!!!)

-By the end of the year I will have run 396.2 miles (just since May, and only according to my DailyMile). That may not be 1,000’s like some runners, but I’d consider 400 miles to be a lot!

-Most importantly, at the end of this year we celebrate another 12 months of good health and happiness.

What are you thankful for this year? What are your biggest accomplishment?
